Some dryers have a "fluff" or "no heat" setting that spins the dryer with the heaters turned off. Check to make sure your cat didn't step on this button : ).
The most common failure modes include the main temperature regulating thermostat, overheat thermostat or thermal fuse, and heater elements. If you have a blown thermal fuse, check to make sure you don't have a lint buildup in the vent ductwork, especially right at the blower outlet. I've also seen problems with broken heater wiring and burned-out contacts in the heater control selector switch. The bottom line is that if gets to this point, you'll need to find the wiring diagram hidden inside the control panel, get an ohmmeter or continuity tester and start tracing the heater wiring.

Hello, welcome to FixYa.
I will start by saying your post indicates it is a Miele W1512 washer,(if not please amend info provided) based on the info you provided it sounds like a bad hall sensor or also referred to as "rps sensor" (located under the unit to the right of the stator motor)
The F50 on these machines actually is meant to identify the motor stalled error, but as you may or may not have learned yet, it is most often associated with the sensor failure a very common problem with this model.
This error can manifest due to something jamming the basket from spinning such as an item of clothing stuck between the outer tub and basket, or a very worn tub bearing but if you can spin the basket freely by hand, that isn't likely.
Miele has since designed with a kit for the f-50 f-51 error code which includes a new control board, wire harness, and sensor. I would recommend contacting your local authorized Miele service provider, they should be very well versed in this issue.
Let me know anything further you can add and I'll try to help in any manner I can. Good luck.

Once you begin the access procedure, it must be completed within
1. Press and hold the Start Button while switching the unit on with
the On/Off Button.
2. As soon as the Start LED lights up, release the Start Button.
3. Immediately press and hold the Start Button, until the Start
