SOURCE: PE error code on LG WF-T653A

PE is a pressure switch problem. Could be a bad switch or it could be that the hose is plugged. The switch looks like a diapharm switch and is located on the main board. It has a black hose that connects under the bottom of the tub. See if that end is clogged. Otherwise you may need a new switch.

Try this first before replacing any parts or disassembling your LG washer:
- Unplug the washing machine for 1 minute.
- Plug the washing machine back into power.
- Restart the wash cycle.
- The washing machine may now have cleared the PE error code, if not see below...

You will need to check the wiring harness that connects the water level pressure sensor to the main control board.
- Check for a loose wire harness, a damaged wire harness, or a burnt faulty wire.
- Check that you get continuity through the wire harness by checking it with a multimeter.
- If the wire harness from the water level pressure sensor to the main control board is found to be faulty, replace it.
- If you get continuity and the wiring harness is securely connected to both the water level pressure sensor and the main control board, then proceed to the step below...

Replacing the water level pressure sensor simply involves locating the sensor in your LG washer. Remove it from the washer and replace it with a new genuine LG washer part. Test washer to be sure the PE error code has cleared and the washer is now working properly

LG wf-t652a displays an error "PE" & dinging when turned on. Any suggestions.

Pressure sensor error. Check also the pressure hose. The pressure sensor stops the water at a set level depending on the cycle you choose.

PE error for LG Washing machine WF-t7269 KN. Cleaned the water filter still shows error.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

LG's 'PE' does indeed stand for (water) Pressure Error'
(following is pre-typed!)

If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses. If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve. Sorry but it needs a service call and a check that it isn't the control PCB ;-0(

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,
John C

M using LG's WF-T7516HN machine 6.5kg. it is showing error code "PE".What does it mean & what should i do now plz help.......

This is a fault with the pump( PE) and so it is possible that the pump is clogged or is inactive .
You will need to remove the pump and test to confirm or replace.,

My model is WF T8016TP I am having the PE Error when i start the washer

-Unplug the machine
-Remove the pressure sensor, a 3 inche round piece under the back of the top-cover.
-Clean it, by pushing whater in the small hold. (I used what we could find a the drugstore for ears cleaning.)
-Start the machine Without putting them back and wait for the error message. (like we do for PC hardware)
-Replace the sensor, start your machine and the error message should be gone.

Hope it works.
