Spilled hot tea on my kyocera Strobe. Thought it was dried out (3 hours). Put on charger, battery swelled up phone was VERY hot on the charger and nothing would turn on. Put a different battery in. Still dead. Any hope of retrieving this phone?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Spilled tea on keypad of macbook now it doesn't work

Open laptop and lay on heavy towels with the keyboard facing down, remove charger and main battery, most of the tea should drain out in this position, contact a service centre to assess the motherboard, sooner the better.

I spilled tea into the handset and the light won't go off

Disconnect your AC Adapter to cut off the power and also disconnect your phone line. Then let it dry for atleast 4 days before you charge or use your phone.

Dropped phone in a bowl of liquid

REMOVE THE BATTERY!

*Choice one- Methyl Alcohol

Clean the circuit with Methyl Alcohol
  • Dip a q-tip in the alcohol and squeeze the q-tip.(you want it to be almost dry)
  • Very carefully clean the circuit and allow it to dry, it is important that you clean around the medal to prevent short circuits.

*Choice two- Rubbing Alcohol

Clean the circuit with Rubbing Alcohol
  • Dip a q-tip in the alcohol and squeeze the q-tip.(you want it to be almost dry)
  • Very carefully clean the circuit and allow it to dry, it is important that you clean around the medal to prevent short circuits.
  • Rubbing alcohol has a slower evaporation rate so you need to wipe the area with a clean q-tip after cleaning it with the alcohol.
If this dose not work you need a new phone, good luck.
