Question about Mitsubishi WS-55819 55" Rear Projection Television

My tv will not turn on.

It was on and shut off on its own and now it will not turn on at all.

    My son tried to change to 1080i for his xbox, then it shut down. Now, you turn it on, the green light turns on for 2-3 sec. then off.???

    Maybe i am just stupid but what the hell are the menu and device buttons and how will the error code fix it?

Hold down the menu + device for five sec what is the error code?
should be like 1 pause then a 2 or something

Mine does the same thing , too. I turn it on and off repeatedly , but nothing happens.I unplug it to see if it resets and nothing still .

TV shut off will not stay on.


Sounds as though you have a video problem. It may be the convergence chips. The TV is shutting down do to a default in the circuit ( the set knows there is an error of somekind so it shuts down to protect itself). This is a problem that needs a pro trouble shooter since it could be in about any board. Sorry I couldn't help more

TV LED Flashes then TV shuts itself off


capacitor problems in power supply or a regulater isolate the power suppley by disconecting the line output stage/unplug scan coils for example and run a 60w bulb as a dummy load one wire to earth and the other to rail voltage colecter of line output transister if the bulb glows steady the power supplys fine
