If you think they are unuseful, then you can delete them. you also can use AOMEI Partition Assistant to move free space from other partition to extend your c drive. For detailed steps, you can refer to this article:

SOURCE: microsoft windows xp home edition service pack 2 error 1603

Hello corejmwilli,

The 1603 error code your getting, is probably a conflick within the .net versions. I would go to remove programs and software in control panel, and delete any versions of .net that are there, and then you can download this one which is the most current. HERE. That should solve your provblem.

Good Luck

Hi, in Windows 7 Microsoft.net framework 3 is installed and newer versions can be installed on it. If you try to install an older version, it will block your installation.
1-Try to download it from Microsoft\'s website and install it with administrator account privilege.
2-Go to the control panel, find out if Windows features are on or off. Try to check
Microsoft.net framework and then restart Windows. Then reinstall it.
3-If you have still problems, go to www.microsoft.com and search microsoft dot net framework 2 in windows 7.
kind regards

I want to download Microsoft Net. Framework 2 x86

Access: http://WindowsUpdate.Microsoft.com
Click "Custom Search"
When it completes, click "Optional Software" (on the left).
Click to select the latest version (version 4) of the Net Framework, not Version 2 -- any software that requires Version 2 will be compatible with Version 4.

Install it.
Restart your computer, when prompted.

Have upgraded my computer from Microsoft Me to

If you have installed on an old computer then the amount of space required may not be enough due to the size of the hard drive. To run modern software etc. you will need at least 350Gb hard drive and run 2 to 3 Gb of RAM. And as systems move on these requirements will only get larger. If you have an old system you want to continue to use I would recomend using a LYNUX based program like DSL (Damn Small Lynux) download for free and can be run from a CD, freeing up more space on a small drive. Hope this helps ;)
