Question about Frigidaire Electric Dryer
Hello John Sterns - First, try resetting the unit dryer by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes. Restart unit and if it proves to be ineffective then typically this is something that a professional would need to diagnose. Since it is such a complex unit, there are multiple possible causes; faulty power cord, house wiring, defective control board, thermal limiter or door switch.

Always list your machine model, mfg, type, voltatge, etc. The more info we have the more we can help you. If you just got the machine, check your warranty. Blinking lights probably mean an electronic control problem, you're going to need a qualified tech to fix that.

Ok, i would also pull the blower assembly and, check it for clog's as well. clean out the entire exhaust hose as well. if this doesn't stop the shut down, you will need to replace the hi limit thermostat and (dryness)sensor(if equipped) as well.

SOURCE: Error Code E68 stuck button?
control boards for this model are as low as $146.00 on ebay, although the code 68 "button stuck " issues 's I've found have been the start button switch ,found one at the local electronic store[close to what's on the board , but not exact !] for $3.99 fixed one for a customer of mine [just to see if that was indeed the problem]. Been running for the last year so far

sounds like you started checking the right areas first... make sure you actually have correct voltage coming to rear of dryer should be between 220-245 volts at power supply across the 2 outside power wires... check both at same time to make sure electrical circuit is correct.. some people only check 1 leg at a time to ground and thats great but you actually need to check both hot leads and see if your getting the above voltage i stated... if so then is anything working the light on inside or does it tumble at all just no heat... if nothing at all works i would test the thermal cutoff switch located near the heating element but normally closer to the blower assembly... it will usually be a white round /flat disk with 2 wires coming out of it. remove 2 wires and test contuinity should beep at you or give closed circuit. if not replace and then check for obstructions in the heating vent or blower assembly also make sure the termination exhaust point is clear no birds nest etc... if that is not the problem and the unit works just no heat check the heating thermostat located close to the heating element remove the wires and test the same ways as i mentioned above it should beep or give closed circuit indication... if that good move to heating element and check it same way... hopefully one of these are your culprit...if all that looks good possible the timer is bad.... repost with anymore questions and a little more info.... wish you luck

Hello zabbster - Typically the DR or DO error code indicates that the door switch is not closed. Make sure that the door lock is completely closed. If the door is closed, make sure the door latch is not broken. If the latch is broken, you may possibly need to replace the door lock switch.
