Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
Did it work perfect at any time? If it did - remove it from your laptop - then -- remove the drivers too - -
Reinstall the unit.
If you have it hooked up with WIFI - be sure the security code is the correct one. If you are not using a secure hook up then you will need to be sure the driver etc isn't corrupt. I use the same set up and had the same problem until I made sure the unit was hooked into the wifi system securely.
As for the scan feature. If it will copy a page without the laptop in the mix try that. If it copies it will scan. Looks to me like the software needs to be re done. Be sure you're using a compatible operating system - like win7 with win 7 drivers for that printer. You also want to update the drivers off the manufacturer web site AND look for FIRM WARE UPDATES.
Before I go please PLEASE go here and READ the BOTTOM of the page. AND keep in mind - some WIFI printers require one solid line to the modem.
Anywhere please CLICK HERE to read it will help you in many more ways.
Best of it

You need to delete and readd the printer with a bonjour connection.
Click on the apple in the top left and go to system preferences and then print and fax.
Click on the printer name (just one click to highlight) on the left and then on the minus sign. It will ask if you are sure you want to delete - you can click yes or delete.
Click on the plus sign and you should see the printer with a bonjour (macspeak for network) printer
Click on it to highlight it and then it will look for drivers and you can then click add to add to your list.
Close print and fax window and open a document and print away!!

Go to control panel, then select printers. Then, from the list of printers (if you have more than one), right click on your printer and make sure "Use printer Online" is checked.
Hope this helps.
