Cyberhome CH dvd-300

Power supply problems. There are many reports on this site for problems related to the cyberhome dvd player, one of them mine. Here is what I found. The dvd drive was ok it was the power supply that failed after a power surge. The power supply is a flyback power supply using the viper22 switcher by STM Microelectronics. you can download the specs with a schematic diagram simular to the one in the cyberhome unit. I wound up replacing the shunt regulator (TL431) Optical coupler (PS2561-a-1) , the 2200uf cap and the 1000 uf cap. this brought the 5 volt output to 5 volts which was the problem. The parts can be ordered from Mouser Electronics.
1000uf @ 10 volts PN UHE1A102MPD
2200uf @ 25 volts PN UFW1E222MHD
TL431 PN 512-431CLP
PS2561 PN 551-PS2561-1-A

Warning: The high voltage side of this power supply has 120 VAC and 161 volts dc when energized. thak precautions when measuring the voltages on the output. Good luck

Fluke 705 loop calibrator fuse blown

Hello Bruno:

F1 (Fluke PN:800901 Ver. A,B and C) (PN: 1778294 Ver. D & E) is 350mA 600V fuse.

U11 (Fluke PN:687555) is DPDT Latching 5 Volt Coil

I would also check D12 if your revision has one (PN:1617521) which is sidactor and it's other side of the board (DO-214 58V).

Good luck.

The motor popped when I first used it. I had a US version (110 volts) and plugged it into Australian plug with adapter at 240 volts. Any ideas?

All the adapter did was enable you to put 240VAC straight into your 110/120VAC coffee maker. You needed a step down transformer to drop the voltage from 240 to 120 VAC. This is not what you wanted to hear but you have damaged your coffee maker substantially by using the wrong voltage. Also the US version is designed for 60 HZ power vs AU 50 Hz power unless stated otherwise on the input power data plate.

Damage that has probably taken place:

1. Motor PN 8211837

2. Relay and Switch assembly PN: 8212011. .

3. Capacitor PN 8211608

Cost to repair... will be close to total replacement value due to shipping costs & customs of replacement parts

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

Where do I get a volume control switch for a M-Audio studiopro 3?

@ Radioshack PN 271-0002 Volume Control with Push Switch, it will fix the speakers but make them MONO, so you need 2 of them to make it stereo. I recommend 2 cause this speakers have the volume distribution problem from factory.
