Question about Acer Aspire One 11.6" 722-0432
After about 9 months of using my Acer netbook problem free, it suddenly crashed with out warning. It won't start up at all. All it does is after the Acer screen when I restart it it goes to a black screen that says no bootable device. I've been told this means it crashed and I can try restoring it to its factory default pressing alt and F10 at the same time when its on the Acer screen but it does nothing at all but go back to the no bootable device screen. Then I tried checking if the D2D recovery was enabled and it is. I'm really at a loss of what to do, I know very little about computers please help!
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Are you trying to access your original recovery software the one that is located on a separate partition? If you are and aren't able to, that particular partion might be currupted. your only option would be to try to install your software with a disc.
I hope this helps.

It sound like your hard drive has crashed. There is no easy solution to your problem. Here are a couple solutions. You need to run a "chkdsk". It will scan and fix file problems on your HD. To do this you can either download a boot disk like "Ultimate boot disk" or you can take the HD out of your laptop and attach it to another computer. Neither of these are easy, for the boot disk you need to have software that can burn a "iso image" to a cd and to attach the HD to another computer you have to have the proper adapter. I would be happy to walk you through either one of these, just let me know. The easist thing to do would be to contact Acer and get recovery cds then go buy a new hard drive. I would take the old one to the store, to be sure I got the right replacement HD.

The netbook is trying to find a bootable device. It cannot read the hard drive, so it started looking for a network hard drive to boot from, since it did not find that it continued down the line until it asked if you wanted to go to recovery. Most likely you have lost your hard drive and the netbook is simply trying to find the next boot device.

I would like you to try two different things.
First press and hold FN then press f5.
If that didn't work try holding FN then pressing the left or right arrow(depends on the computer, not sure which one it is) to make it brighter. You may have to press it multiple times.

Consider what data you still need from your Acer Aspire One's hard drive. Save the files to an external USB device.
Restart the Acer Aspire One's operating system. Wait for the Acer logo to appear on the LCD screen.
Press the "Alt" and "F10" keys at the same time to bring up the recovery menu. Press "Enter."
Click "Next." Follow the prompts that appear on the screen to restore the operating system back to factory settings.
Connect the external USB device to your Acer Aspire One and transfer the data you saved earlier back to the netbook.
