Question about Bodycraft Rowing Machine VR100 Rower

Display is dead

Rowing machine was not used for awhile, I am guessing there is a dead battery that would otherwise have recharged with use. I have a lot of equipment and some become more favored than others. It seems the same thing happened to the bike. My repair guy charges $125 just to come out and tell me the problem, then I get dinged for another visit but he is the only game in town. Is there a way I can remedy this on my own?

From what I have seen and read, it does run on batteries but they do not recharge. Look for a door on the bottom. If not then it needs to come apart. Still cheaper than a $125 repair guy. Let me know if you need more help.

The normal preocedur wld have been :)

If this is the case, there are 3 alternatives:

  1. Recharge the battery pack by attaching via USB to a plugged in PC
  2. Use a USB-mains adapter (ensure the correct USB connector)
  3. And possibly the simplest solution:
  4. Use two alkaline D-Cell (LR20) batteries..

Now we have to check the first and foremost option :) Isnt it....so Lets move...

Most likely the batteries in your display have been depleted. Check your console for the battery compartment and change them.

Concept 2 rower screen says batteries are low even after I install new batteries.

Have you checked to make sure there is no corrosion or dirt on the battery terminals/contacts resulting in reduced voltage flow? If dirty try using a dollar bill(the fibrous paper used to make money is slightly course) to clean them as even a fine grit sand paper is too course for these contact points( you just want clean them, not scratch the finish off)

Computer replaced batteries - screen lights up but does not function when rowing - not registering meters

Check the mtion sensing magnetic switch thats under the seat rail. It determines if you are rowing and sends a signal to the computer. Make sure all connections are fully seated. You may have loosened a wire when you swapped the batteries.

Hi when i hit the power button on my hp laptop the button blinks and nothing happen

This usually happens if the battery is completely dead and needs recharging for awhile. Unplug the battery and try to turn it on if you want to test this immediately.

Otherwise the power adapter might be malfunctioning. These are fairly cheap on Ebay (10-20$) I have bought one of these and it works just fine. But you can also buy brand name ones at computer retail stores for exorbitant prices of 80-100$.

Display screen doesn

I had the same problem here,,,

This was my friend rowing that we received as a "gift" (he wasn't using it anymore) and the LCD display stop working.

Without the user manual, I decided to remove the side panel and by doing so the LCD panel pop out showing the source of the problem...

The AA battery simply felt off inside the case.

So my guess is that either your battery felt off or is dead.

So here're the steps...

1. remove the LCD panel (use a flat screwdriver if needed)
2. if there's no battery, it is probably inside the assembly. You can try to retreive it by removing the 7 screws on one side or simply leave the battery if it's not interfering with the rowing mechanics.
3. if there's a battery, it's probably dead. Change it!

Nikon SB-600

seems like the batteries have gone dead. Replace the batteries. Get a set of good capacity rechargeable NiMH batteries (I recommend Sanyo Eneloop). Also try cleaning the battery and flash contact points with an eraser.

My battery is dead & some of pixels are damaged (not dead)

You need a new battery. Rechargable batteries eventually die and need to be replaced. The best way to make your battery last is to let it run all the way down each time before recharging.

As for the display, this sounds like a serious problem with the screen. How long the screen will last is impossible to guess - it might keep working the way it is for a few years, or it might die within months.

If your laptop is under warranty, send it to HP for repairs. If not, you should find out how much it will cost to repair before sending it in. If you want to buy a battery and take your chances on the screen lasting, I would suggest buying a used battery through eBay (or another source) rather than spending full price, just in case the laptop dies.

If you decide to keep the laptop and get a used battery, I suggest backing up important files regularly.

You probably don't have the batteries fully charged up. Also you will need to change battery type from alkaline to metal hydride in the "wrench2"(the last icon on the menu) menu. You did get metal hydride rechargeable batteries??? If you got nickel-cadmium rechargeables that might also be your problem with your camera as they don't have enough power.
