Hot water solenoid not closing completely.

Right inside the washer housing, where the hoses connect, the part that the hoses connect to is usually the hot/cold solenoid valve.

I would recommend your first step be to purchase and replace that solenoid valve assembly. In most machines it's not that hard once you figure out how to open the machine. The first thing that I would try is to stick a large flat head screwdriver under the front of the top assembly near each corner and see if the top pops up when you apply steady downward pressure.

The water no longer gets cold . What do I check ? Thanks !!

On a washing machine?

You have a hot fill inlet, you have a cold fill inlet. The controller dictates how much hot water and cold water to get the right temperature for the wash you have chosen. This is tested by the thermostat in base of the drum. The heater then warms the water to the correct temperature for the full wash.

Some washers are cold fill only and the heater in the washing machine does all the work. The wash cycles take a lot longer.

If you are in fact talking about a water cooler not getting cold, check the air filters and for dust on the compressor fins.

Water doesnt get hot unless you run the sink first then the wster on shower get boiling hot then ice cold showers a few weeks old

So you have 2 heating elements in your hot water heater. A top and a bottom. From the sounds of it your top element has went bad however they are only about $17 a piece new and it is recommended you replace both at the same time. Thats why it takes you long run to get hot water the top water heater water is still cold and long run gets to the bottom and gives you hot water.

SilviaWhen running wster thru group head to warm up machine, noticed foamy-smelly water. Ran more - now have almost black water with tiny black specs.?

You have huge corrosion and scale in the boiler. Your heating element will be fried soon. Boiler must be opened up and cleaned, element may be salvageable. USE ONLY BOTTLED WATER NEVER EVER TAP.

My bread machine when plugged in, just makes a clicking sounds like it is timing out on a timer. Pushed all the buttons and reset button..still just clicks.

in cold weather many machines warm up first before mixing especially when the whole wheat program is chosen. The clicking you hear is the heating element and oven chamber expanding etc.

If your machine hasnt't started mixing within 30 mins. after you push start then there is a malfunction.

Ice in freezer bottom

2 things:-1)Freezer door does not close completely, leving a gap allowing outside air to come in and te humidity causes water to freeze at the bottom of the freezer. This would explainwhy is forming over 2 days.
2)If your fidge has a ice maker in the freezer and a cold water dispemser, the both these compartments water flow for the ice &for dispenser are controlled by a solenoid valve, which in turn uses a sensor to detect the quantity of water in the ice maker trays and switces off the wster supply appropriately. If the sensor in the icemaker fails to detect the right quantity, overflows very slowly so as to appear to be noticeable..............sdeep
