Water wont empty - Hotpoint WD62 Front Load Washer / Dryer

? im confused are you saying its not filling with water or its not emptying of water , if its not emptying of water , yes its true the pump in it is driven by a motor and yes they d go bad and yes if the pump wont turn then yes it wont empty out , this makes sense to the blinking light of water detection you see ? ohh and most times the pump and motor are all one assembly , if it wont fill with water then you need to ck the inlet valves they get clogged or go bad too ) there is no motor that is assoc with these valves that I know of

Yes,
The water pump most be clugged and/or defective.

I had same problem twice, the first time there was a sock in the filter at the front adjoining the pump, the second time a sock had got in the pipe under the drum which is more awkward to get to but is possible if you have the tools to remove the back plate and are ok at diy, there is a spring tension clip on the pipe which comes off quite easily with a pair of pliers.

Your problem is: washer wont empty water

If the motor runs but it won't empty then the pump needs replacement. If the unit washes but the motor won't come on to empty then you have a control problem. Either way I don't recomend this repair to the average homeowner. You might consider utilizing our Repair Directory to find a repair man.

if the drain is plumbed into a spigot on the sink trap, then this spigot is blanked off to prevent water coming out when you empty the sink. remove blank

hi there this is a common fault empty the water into a bucket and remove the water pump to check for blockages, the pump is located at the rerar lefthand side of the w/m.
also check your drain hose where it connects under your sink.
