did you check your cam program in c;\ program files and see if theres any settings for cam there

When you installed the software did you have the cam plugged in

if not uninstall from add remove then unplug cam and restart and reinstall software

if you've done all the that and you have a different place to plug the cam in on pc i would try switching and then restarting.

I know vista is suppose have compatibility mode but some things still are not compatible

Go ahead, install the driver and test the camera. MS doesn't always recognise drivers as valid but they often work.

No guarantee, but you won't do any harm.

How can i get drivers for Micro Innovations ic50c webcam for free without installing files i don't want?

For Micro Innovations, u really do not need a specific driver to make your webcam work, just use AMPap software which can fully support most of the general type webcam for video capture and preview that compatible with Microsoft DirectShow. Just download from here (some link available on 20Oct2009): http://www.softspecialist.com/system/Windows/AMCap-1565.htm, or

Computer says i have no hardware but is shows to be in there

Hi,

What is the operating system of your computer? Did you already try rebooting your computer after you plugged the webcam? Let's try plugging your webcam to the computer then restart it.

If it doesn't work, try checking in device manager if the device is enabled.

To go to device manager (Windows Vista/XP), right click my computer and choose manager. Look for device manager from there then search for any imaging device or video device. In XP, you will have a red X while you will have a down arrow in Vista. It will also show the device status. If it asks you to reinstall you may find the driver on this link: http://www.microinv.com/support.asp?dept_id=1001&sub_dept_id=1018&product_id=10020&formSubmit.x=14&formSubmit.y=6

The driver is the link that says IC50C Gray Cam Driver Win98SE_XP or IC50C WinXP/Vista
