I just bought a micro sd card with that adapter thing and took it home excited to finally get music on my phone. and tried to open the removable disk. it comes up on my computer a removable disk D:\
it would show the hour glass thing kinda freeze then an error notice would come up saying
"D:\ is not accesible
the request could not be performed because of an i/o devise error."
when i right click on the icon for the removable disk and find properties it shows that it can read how much space is on there. so it can read it.
so what does that mean?
bad card? bad port?
the port reads other memory cards....the 2gb card for the digital camera works fine in it.
what to do?

I have a similar problem, the issue for me was windows media player was creating a folder called music on my sd card and uploading the music there during sync function. However, the phone only looks in the \my_music folder on the SD card. Sync your phone, then rename the newly created music folder to my_music and the player will work. Still looking for a permanent solution to this problem.
Unfortunately, we have found an incompatibility with a new
revision of our microSD and the USB adapter that accompanied the card you
purchased. We are in the process of solving the compatibility issue. We are
truly sorry for the inconvenience and would like to send a new card that is
compatible with your USB adapter. Your original card should be functional in
other adapters, phones, and cameras. The microSD card's compatibility problem
should only exist with that USB Adapter. For your inconvenience, there will be
no need to ship the original microSD card back to us so feel free to keep and
use them both. We would also like to send you two free music downloads from
Duracell Flash Memory.
If you would like to take advantage of this
offer, please let us know your full name, address, the size of the microSD, and
the name and location of the store from which you purchased your microSD. When
we receive your information we will ship your replacements parts and music
Best Regards, Duracell Flash Support Team
I'm not sure about your phone, but with the one that i just purchased i bought a SD card reader that plugs into the USB port. The micro SD that i bought came with an adapter and goes right into the card reader. Your computer will recognize it once you plug it in with the card in it. You can find one at walmart in the camera section.
