SOURCE: I am facing problems on Towa/Geller ET-5616 cash

Hi.
Do you have the programming sheet for the keyboard? It should have the words 'start', 'select', 'design', and 'print' on it.

SOURCE: Hi - Have a TOWA

This is an old model that I have seen in the past, but i don't have information for it. I can point you to a user / programming manual at C-tech collective if that helps http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Towa_ET-5616_operating_programming_manual.html

I have a sharp ER-A330 register.. it will let me enter a cashier #, but it will not ring a sale. It is not in calculator mode, it does not have a sale on it, the drawer is not stuck . I m confused .

It is easy to know if you have logged on a cashier correctly. After entering the cashier, you will see hyphens around the cashier number on the display. For example, if you sign on as cashier 1, you will then see -01- on the display. If not, you haven't logged on and you will get a longer beep when you try to use department buttons which means please log on.

How to delete a clerk name and replace it with another name on Geller Towa ET 6600 (manual not helping!)

Good old machines. Off the top of my head, I think you might need to make sure you are logging in a clerk if you change a clerk name. Some are set up for cashiers so you would need to change cashier name if you log in a cashier

How can i change the name of the item?

If it is a department key, find the department text programming sequence in the manual. It will show you how to enter text from the tables or keyboard during name changes. If it is a PLU key, use the PLU text sequence. If it is a cashier or clerk key, use the cashier or clerk programming sequence.
If you need a manual, one of the users has huge listings here:

Hope that helps

My Casio PCR T480 will not work when the CA/Amt Tender button is pressed. I have tried clearing a machine lock up, which does not work. I'm not sure what has caused the problem initially as the cashier...

Hi. This is usually caused by someone reprogramming the status of the cash button while they are changing prices.
Try this.
Turn key to program
Press 0
Press CASH
Press Subtotal
Press 3
Press SUBTOTAL
Press 0
Press CASH
Press SUBTOTAL

Program a cashier onto a Casio TK 7000

It should be the 05 file on that machine so you just add the cashier number in front of the file number (105 for cashier 1, 205 for cashier 2 etc). So go to program 2 then use the 05 code as I've said to edit the text. The text entry procedure is shown in the manual so just run through that to familiarise yourself. If you don't have the text entry information in your manual, then you have the wrong one. You need this one:

Reprogramed tax after initializing Sharp ER-A330 now will not accept any sntry

I believe the ER-A330 has a Cashier # button - it should be labeled CASH #. It has to have a cashier signed on to ring a sale. Most owners forget that, because the same cashier stays signed in all the time, and nobody uses the button. If I'm right, all you have to do is this (in REG mode):
[CL] 1 [CASH #]
and start ringing your sale. The CL was to clear the error condition, if it was in one. 1 CASH # assigned Cashier #1 to the register.
The reason the register has the button is so it can track sales totals for each employee or shift. The register can be programed to stick with one cashier until another is signed on, or it can force you to sign on for every sale. At the end of the day it can print the normal Z totals by touching the CA/AT key, and touching the CASH# key gives totals for each cashier, I think.
Initializing the register cleared the cashier assignment and got you into the predicament. Touching the CASH # key twice will also clear the cashier assignment, as will resetting the Cashier totals with a Z reading. In any of those cases, just go back to REG and touch 1 CASH# again (or a different number if you want to sign on a different cashier).

NOT ASSIGNED CODE

NOT ASSIGNED means no cashier is signed on. Find the cashier number button, probably labeled CASH #. In REG mode, press CL to clear the error, then 1, then CASH #, and Cashier 1 will be assigned. The display will show -01- Go straight from here into your sale.
Some registers are set up to not show the cashier number on the display or receipt. If 1 CASH # doesn't work, try CASH #, 1, CASH #.
Most users don't track sales by cashiers, so they forget they even have the capability, and they forget how to use that CASH # key. If you press the CASH # button without entering a number, it will sign out the active cashier, and you'll get this NOT ASSIGNED error.

XE-A203 SAID 'OVER LIMIT

Each department in the register can be programed with a maximum price. Sharp calls it a HALO, for High Amount Lock-Out, and it prevents those silly mistakes like a cashier once made for me when my burger and shake came out to over $500.00.
If you're entering a reasonable price, but the register complains that it is OVER LIMIT, you need to program a higher HALO for that department. Look for the department programming in the manual.

Sharp er-a330 cash register

That's a programming option -- whether you have to sign in for each sale, or can just keep going until you do a Cashier Z reading. But this on is not in your Owner Manual. Most Sharpregisters have a deeper level of programming, called SRV mode. It's not marked on your mode switch, but it's one click past PGM. You need a SRV key to access it and a Service Manual to know what's there. Sharp doesn't supply the SRV key or instructions, because it allows you to change Grand Totals and other things that would allow an employee to steal without detection.

Any servicing Sharp register dealer should have the SRV key, and this change is simple enough that they might do it for free if you bring the register to them along with these instructions and ask nicely.

Turn to SRV mode.
910 . @/FOR CA/AT
Turn to REG mode.

Sign in and try running consecutive sales or No Sales without signing in between them.

You can still change Cashier numbers between sales by signing in with a different number.
If you touch the CASH # button without putting a number in first, it will sing out you current cashier, and you'll need to sign someone in again.
If you are in X/Z mode, and you touch the CASH # button, it will print a Cashier Z reading and automatically sign out all cashiers. Sign in before your next sale.

Good luck,
Eric
