SOURCE: HU 850 CD stuck in player

One thing about Volvo CD player/changers...they tend to not like burned CDs and even more, burned CDs with labels on them.

I'd suggest against trying to get it out yourself.

You can get it replaced and the dealership should have a form so you can get your CDs sent back.

SOURCE: Replace 2005 Nissan altima stereo receiver

Try radio shack, or stereo sales/installation place for ready to go plug adapter. For a few bucks, it saves headaches, and butchering the wiring in case you want to re-install old one later when trading in or selling the car.

In my 2001 Volvo S80, the radio worked intermittantly for a few months and then not at all. There is still power to the radio, speakers are good, and all radio fuses are good.

I had a car radio do that once in a used car I bought cheap, it turned out to just be a loose connector on the back of the radio, I clicked it in and it worked fine.

I need a scamatic to install a used HU 850 stereo with nav into my 2006 t5 s60

Unless you are a master automotive electrical engineer, or a volvo service tech with mainline access, this will be lots of trouble. The original head units for volvos were flashed at the dealer or factory to each individual car. Even if you got all the wires to match up between years/models, you would still need to take the finished rig to a dealer or specialist to get it "relearned". Plan on spending hundreds of dollars no matter which way you go.

Cd changer wont read cd's in my 03 xc90 volvo

They make a cd player cleaner you can buy about any audio store , I would give that a shot first. Looks like a cd with small brushes on it. The laser is probably dirty.

Hi, I would like to connect a volvo cr 905 car radio to a sony cdx 656 cd changer. But the cable connector is different from the radio unit. Where to get the right connector from?

the volvo radio and sony changer are not compatible. the only way to connect the changer to the radio is with an fm transmitter.
