My seamens washing machine has developed e 57 error can it be fixed or whats the way forward since its still new

Hi Evans,

E57 is a door lock fault. Now either the door lock itself or the control board will cause this fault.

What you need to do is open the little filter cover in the bottom right corner and there is a pull tab.

Pull this and that should release the door and allow you to open it.
Then retry the washer again and see if the fault has cleared.
If not then remove the top of the washer and remove the control board. From there check to see if theres any signs of burning on there. If so then the board will need to be replaced.
If the board looks ok then you can try and replace the door lock and see if it cures it. But if still after replacing the lock its the same then the control board will be the fault here.

Whrilpool f21 fault fix

its a very common fault but there is a lot of frustration around its fix the fault is a block causing your pump to not work correctly the whole pump pipe lines and so on need to be taken off the filters need to be cleaned to perfection the pump must be taken apart and cleared of any small parts that could have pumped into it. then when your sure there are no blocks filters all clean re assemble the unit re connect the hoses and plug the washer back in and it will work fine.

What does f12 mean on a hotpoint aqualtis washing machine aqxxd 169pm

Hi, I think the F12 Error means lack of water or water turned off, check that first, if water is turned on then turn it off disconnect the hose from the machine, then hold the hose in a bucket and gently turn on the hose tap to check if water does flow, if it does check the valve on the back of the machine, there is usually a small filter in there that can get blocked, these can be pulled out by a small tab on top of the filter using a pair of pliers, clean it and then put it back in reconnect the hose and turn the water back on, try the machine again, if its still the same it could be a faulty water valve that will need replacing.

There is another reason F12 could appear which is a faulty PCB or wiring harness fault, but generally the above should be checked first.

Here's a picture below showing an example of the valve with the filter in blue, you might just be able to see the tab on the filter.

Hope this helps.

I have a 84 trouble code it is a 3-2 down shift feedback fault. i replaced the solanoid and cleared the code and the tranny worked find and then the code came bk and i cleared it again and it shifted fine...

Try Flushing the system change the filter and put in Lucas transmission oil conditioner see if this helps. You didn't mention mileage and that would also help in telling you the problem, It is possible your losing the 2 to 3 shifting band, I forget if the bands are adjustable on that model or not, does it have a v6 or v8 or the 4 cylinder?

97 impreza sti.the codes are working i disconnected maf to see if it made a difference it didnt checked codes and it showed 23 ie maf sensor but thats because i disconnected it.cleared codes checked again...

i will recommend cleaning the sensor. there is a product disigned to clean it. it's a spray, obviously enough called maf sensor cleaner. your sensor might be dirty, degrading operation, especially if your using an aftermarket air filter like k&n which uses oil to filter the air.

I keep getting open tap and when I open tap, its says close tap. I have unplugged it and it still continues the loop.

I have had this happen when trying to change filters and go through the rinse procedure. For me the problem was that the little hole on the frothing wand was plugged. Once I cleared the little chuck of dried milk everything started working again.

E23 indicates Drain pump faulty; Wiring faulty; PCB faulty.

The service information also says it should stop with the door open.

Unplug the appliance and manually remove the water via the filter or front drain point if it's fitted.

Drain it into a shallow dish, tighten the filter when you need to stop the water (or plug the hose if draining via a hose) while you empty the container.

Once empty, try the door again.

Take the filter out and clean out any debris in it.

Plug the appliance in and put the machine on a drain programe.

Listen/look at the open filter to check that the drain pump is running.
