I read on a website that press the headset power button briefly will trigger the device to reconnect with the iPhone. Haven't tried that yet, but it sounds impractical.

I have a 300 series Plantronics and it only functions if I unpair and repair with the I phone each time I want it to work. The AT & T technician tells me that the one I have has old software in it and that is all it will ever do. It also does not "beep" in the ear when it connects like it did when I had it paired to my Motorola L7. That makes it hard to know if it is connected even though the I phone says it is paired with the Plantronics ear piece even if the ear piece is turned off.

The headset connects to the phone but then it says connecting and then comes up bluetooth connection failed and it wont work hands free, it has the blue symbol on my phone screen but wont it wont connect...

I would suggest turning off your phone and headset. Turn your phone back on and put the headset into pairing mode (the headset needs to be turned off when starting the pairing mode) pull up your menu on your Bluetooth phone and try reconnecting the two again.

When i try to connect to the internet my phones keeps saying connection failure and communication error. Sometimes it allows me to go to google then when it starts searching i get the same error message....

OK, this one is tricky because you did not list what model of phone you use (such as, I use a Motorola Droid X). If you are on an Android powered phone, one of the simplest solutions is to remove the battery and keep it out for about a minute. Then put it back in and reboot. For a BlackBerry, this will also sometimes work. If you have an iphone, this is not an option. Please state what model of phone (and OS version would be helpful) and I am sure an answer will appear.

i dont think the iphone will pair with the tom tom gps, because they use a different satellite & interface....iphone is running on Google whereas tom tom has its own satellite.

Iphone won't work with bluetooth in mazda 3 2010 My iphone shuts off whenI try to use the bluetooth system in my mazda 3

iPhone has had bluetooth since the first model in 2007. With iPhone OS/firmware 3.0 (free for all iPhone users), iPhones are fully A2DP compliant and link with Mazda bluetooth.
My current experience is with a 2010 Mazda3 and iPhone 3GS, where I get phone and iPod functionality via bluetooth (yes, without jailbreaking), though the steering-wheel controls are limited to play/pause and volume only.
