Question about Vizio 60" Class 60.04" Diag. 1080p 120Hz LED-LCD HDTV E601I-A3

Open Question

Vizio 60" LCD 120Hz WiFi not streaming

Not sure why the connection to our Vizio (upstairs) is so slow (273Kbps) compared to our playstation 3 (12 Mbps), which streams in HD very well and is further way from the router (downstairs). Testing the download speed on our laptop its 38Mbps. I'm stumped???? any help will be greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: No picture on vizio lcd

It's likely not a backlight, but a mainboard. If you are feeling frisky, take the back off and get the model number off the mainboard and check eBay.

SOURCE: Vizio SV470M, picture is moving too fast

This is often called the "Soap Opera" effect...I had a similar problem and found that changing the settings helped tremendously. Here are the settings I use:
Picture Mode: Movie

Backlight: 18
Brightness: 49
Contrast: 52
Color: 42
Tint: 2
Sharpness: 3

Advanced Video
Noise Reduction: strong
Color enhancement: off
Advanced Adaptive Luma: Off
Enhanced Contrast Rato: off

Color Temperature: Normal
Red: 121
Green: 128
Blue: 118

Smooth Motion Effect: low
Real Cinema Mode: Precision

Also, there's a great thread on the Soap Opera effect here:

Hi, I have a Vizio model number E552VL. I have had it a little over 2 years and the picture is getting a little dim and less sharp. Do need the backlight inverter kit to fix it? Thanks

I am not familiar with that kit, have you tried to compensate with the picture controls as much as possible?

PROGRAMS PLAYS FOR SHORT WHILE, STOPS AND BUFFERS TO 25, AND THEN WON'T PLAY REST OF PROGRAM.

You have a slow Internet connection. This may be caused be the Streaming Stick being far from the wireless router. The best way to watch Netflix is to have an internet connection of 25/25 Mbps and use a wired (ethernet ) connection to a Roku 3 for example. If you are using DSL that would be a problem because of slow internet speed. Try to imorove the position of the router closer to the Streming Stick if possible. I stream at a distance of 30 ft and it never buffers with a wireless connection to a 720p TV and have a wired connection to a Roku 3 10 a 1080p TV and it works beautifully. Good Luck!

BUFFERING SLOW, THEN PICTURE COMES THEN DROPS.

You probably have a slow internet connection. It is recommended that you have a minimum 25/25 Mbps connection from your provider. If you do then the streaming stick might be too far from your wireless router. Try to move the router closer to the Streaming Stick if possible. The best way to watch streaming video is with a wired ethernet connection with a Roku 3 or other wired device. Good Luck!

First thing I would check is Internet connection on the smart tv that won't connect. If that doesn't work try downloading new software for Netflix. Try those and see what happens.
