Question about Maytag MGR6772BDS Gemini Gas Kitchen Range
We moved into a flat with a Whirlpool electric AKP509, there is no manual left for us, and I have no idea how to use the oven. The symbols are misleading (what we thought was grill seems to do nothing other than very moderately heat the oven) and there seems to be a fan nob and a temperature nob, but this goes simply to "4" which is confusing as it doesn't correspond to gas heating numbers, and when trying to heat the oven to 180deg Celcius for baking I just have to guess. I can't find any manuals on the Whirlpool website for it, but I'm hoping that there is a (free) manual for a similar model out there which explains the three dials. Does anyone know how to use this oven? My baking has become very haphazard!

The Oven safety valve. Look for it on the base plate below your ignitor. It is a the end of the burner manifold and has 2 wires to it Check it quickly by getting to the point where it acts up. But first, Connect a voltmeter to the 2 wires (if you can with them still connected to the safety valve. When it ignites the voltage will be present. Let it cycle off like you described. Now watch it as it tries to come back on. If you get a voltage reading now that indicates everything else is working and the valve is not opening like it should in other words with the voltage to the gas valve and the ignitor glowing you should have a flame. I assume the ignitor comes back on.
If this helped you please rate me as high as you can. If it did not please restate what problem your having and help me to understand it better. Thank you for using fixya and good luck.

SOURCE: My oven's bake/broil element won't heat
It could be the stat (temp probe) or the cut outs. if these are faulty then it will not allow the elements to heat up
