I would measure the old one and have a piece cut at a local glass store. All it is is a piece of plexiglass. You will save yourself over $200 doing this rather than ordering the Mitsubishi part number.

The Error Code designations indicating a malfunction, or no malfunction, are listed below:

"12" ... indicates no error has occurred.

"21" ... X-Ray Protect circuit.

"22" ... Short Protect circuit.

"23" ... Horizontal Deflection failure.
"24" ... Vertical Deflection failure.

you will have to count the blinks, then there is a short pause and then following a second set of blinks this tells what is wrong with set.

Mitsubishi non powerup problem

If it is a steady blink then it will be something with the microprocessor not resetting. That set does give fault codes by blinking in a pattern, like two blinks then a pause then three blinks.
It can be a little tricky to troubleshoot, I think that set has a micro, two eproms and another IC that they called a watchdog which has a lot to do with the micro and preventing it from locking up. It may also be a power supply problem not supplying proper power to the micro. I'd try a few more unplugs and maybe plug direct to outlet and bypass surge protector. If it won't reset you'll need someone familiar with that set to service it for you.

Yes you will need to replace both of the STK392-570 Convergence ICs and the two 5 amp pico fuses. You can get the parts at the following link and they provide instructions with pictures that show how to do the repair. Heres the link'

Removal of protection screen mitsubishi ws55819 rear projection

you will need to pull the bottom of the unit off, this is just a snap on speaker grille across the bottom... then you will remove the screws across the bottom of the grey frame holding the screen... un plug the 2 plugs going to the control panel buttons, lift UP then OUT and it will come off.. once off, lay face down on a blanket and you can remove the frame screws INSIDE to pull out the protective screen. I took mine off to stop all of the glare problems. Also, while you have the screen off, clean your mirror and lenses since they will be easily accessible.. windex will do the job well, just make sure not to leave a bunch of lint from paper towels!

Mitsubishi ws55819 has no picture

the pico fuses are 6.3 amp. any type pico fuse rated at 6.3 amp will do and the convergence ic's are labeled on the body of the ic. (STK 391-010 or similar). the board that the ic's are on can be removed without removing the entire tray. the connectors are marked and even different sizes to prevent miss-connection when installing board abain. be carefull removing the board as the screws holding it in also hold the heat-sink for the ic's as well as the shield for the generator module.
And do please unplug the set first!!

Mitsubishi WS-55819 power issue

This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source) 1. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF DIAGNOSIS ERROR 2 2. CHECK FOR LEAKY C9A60 470 PF 1000 V PART # 154P400030, PARALLEL TO D9A57 ON THE POWER PCB (NOT SHOWN IN THE SCHEMATIC). 2.
