I have set my alarm to ring at different times each day. The first day it worked fine, but each day since, when i try to turn it off, it just keeps ringing. The only way to get it to go off was to take out the battery. Is there a secret or is there a problem with my phone?

Re: alarm doesn't turn off
You should just be able to go into your alarm settings and turn off the set alarm times. UNLESS you have it set up to ring at intervals of 5 minutes, 10 minutes etc. If you cannot turn it off after checking the alarm settings, it may be malfunctioning and you will need to contact customer service, or take your phone to your local store.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

1) set time: hold down "time set" button for five seconds, then use up and down arrows to change, and press "time set" button once to toggle between month/day/year/hour/minute. If it goes to the alarm setting instead of time setting, try again. 2) set alarm: hold down "alarm set" button for 5 seconds, use up and down arrows to change, press "alarm set" button once to toggle between hour/minute. press "time set" button to return to clock 3) turn on/off alarm: press "alarm set" button once, press "up" to turn alarm on and press "up" again to turn alarm off. press "time set" button to return to clock 4) to project the images: push the buttons that read "time" or "image". to focus the image, rotate the cylinder around the lens that projects the image. use the dial near the lens-cylinders to select a different image 5) military time: press the "up" button when the time is displayed (not when you're setting the time) Good Luck!
The setting for the alarm is actually independent from the rest of the phone volumes. When you go the set the alarm and get to the alarm sound list, use the volume rocker on the side of the phone to set the alarm volume.
For some reason, the Hero has a habit of screwing around with the volumes for the alarm. It happened to me a few times where my alarm got muted.
