Question about Faberware FCP512S Coffee Maker

Broken see thru knob P/N 30595

This knob has broken off at the base. It had a nut and a washer holding it on. The coffee pot is now unable to be used even though the coffee pot still makes coffee because the water spills out of the hole at the top. Was this a built in thing to make the coffee pot unusable after a certain time??? I was at a yard sale today and there sat another Faberware coffee maker in a box to be sold. The same brand and it has the same problem. The knob was broken off. Pat Klemz

I have the same exact problem. I noticed that the coffee wasn't perking up to the top see thru knob and also notice that it was leaking. When I noticed that the nut under the cover was loose I tried to tighten it and it broke right off. I always loved this coffee maker. I would like to get a replacement cover for it. Please E-mail me with information. My e-mail is:

I have the same coffee maker and the same problem...I first thought it was because I put the lid into my dishwasher....I feel better that I'm not alone with this problem....although, I'm not happy at all.....I tried the "ESalton.com" site....they are no longer on line....I'm now going to contact Faberware...thank you

The only place to get the replacement part that I could find, was by calling 1-800-233-9054, which is the company now handling service issues for Faberware products. I ordered two, and it cost $20.75 with shipping and handling.

Same broken knob problem; second coffee maker with the same problem.  First one came in under warranty; this one long past warranty.  Ordered a replacement @ $14.95 incl shipping.  Still a plastic knob -- bad engineering choice.

You can try using rear view mirror adhesive, available at auto parts stores. Get it very clean with alcohol first.

Hot water will not come down thru coffee

Your pour over coffee brewer has a reservoir that holds more than a pot of water. First thing you need to do is turn off the machine. Then put the empty coffee pot on the burner. Then take another container and fill it with fresh cold water and pour it slowly into the coffee maker until it starts to come out into the coffee pot. Stop pouring in water.

Now turn the machine on and let it heat up. Now you can brew normally. The reservoir has to be filled before you turn it on or you will end up eventually burning up the heating element.

Farberware 12 cup electric percolator leaks

Hi, if you have a China pot toss it. If you have a USA pot, Get ahold of a 1 3/8" socket. Take the base off and you will see a square nut on the bottom of the main heating element, put that in a bench vice and thighen the nut up inside the pot. You will only have to turn it a tiny bit. While you have it apart check if it still leaks, if so thghten a bit more. You will get nowhere without the vice and the socket. .Try to stay away from the keepwarm element ( little white rope looking thing ) Good luck. Ron

Source for replacement blade for CBG5 B&D Coffee Grinder

Unable to find any parts supplier who offered a replacement blade for the CBG5 SmartGrind Coffee grinder, the broken plastic center spindle was reconstructed around the attachment nut, and an epoxy cement was poured around the nut and over the center of the blade.
This solution has worked in testing the blade on the grinder, but how long it will hold up has not yet been determined.

The volume knob has broken off at the base on chan 1 of my peavey KB100 keyboard amplifier. part needs replacing in NW London?

Was it the know or the pot? The pot is the metal(sometimes plastic) shaft with a nut securing it to the enclosure.

Here is your nearest registered Peavey service center. http://www.peavey-eu.com/support_2_detail.php?flag=GB&lan=UK&var=ser&key=SERVICE

This could also be repaired by someone with electronics knowledge. Just would need to know the pot taper and resistance. This would be on the front of the pot on the same side as the shaft. The enclosure would need to be taken apart.

Zoom A2 Effects processor Cant remove circuit board

After removing one knob carefully, you might find that there are nuts and washers holding the pots in place and the pots are soldered to the second circuit board which is held in place by these nuts and washers.

Re: KitchenAid Coffee Pot

I had a similar problem with Err 1, Err2, and Err 4. To resolve Err 1, if you have room, remove the coffee filter and coffee, pour more "warm" not hot water into reservoir. If you have 4 cups cold water add 5 cups warm. Then start coffee maker and let it run thru. Then drain coffee pot and start over to make coffee with tepid water. Err 1 indicates the coffee maker temp sensor is too cold from room temp or water temp.
Err 2 is a result of cleaning. First question "Did you remove the charcoal filter?" The charcoal filter can be removed form the filter stick by prying two tabs away gently and removing the filter for removal. The filters can be purchased @ www.Kitchenaid.com
One pot run thru with descaler can loosen scale and make sensor go "blind". Just run a full pot of clean plain water thru one maybe two times. A pot solution should be a solution of 1/4 pot WHITE vinegar, 3/4 pot clean cool water. Run this thru once, then two clean pots of fresh water as if you brewed a pot of coffee. NEVER USE CLR WITHOUT RUNNING NO LESS THAN THREE CLEAN WATER POTS THRU MAKER!!!! This is so you can continue to enjoy drinking coffee, nothing like a cup cleaning you out!
Err 4 is simple, you have a stuck button. Unplug maker and gently press each button making sure they aren't stuck in.

GE coffee maker with grinder 169103

We were unable to find a coffee pot that fit this model after it was broken so my roomate devised a solution to make it work in the meantime. He took the little plastic tab that closes off a bag of bread and used it under the filter in the filter cup to clip around the devise that holds the brewer open and let the coffee pour out below. Then we used a four cup Pyrex measuring cup underneath to catch the coffee. The first time I tried this without the device the coffee flooded out of the pot and all over the sink and not in the Pyrex because I didn't realize the previous pot held this device open. Just remember to let it finish brewing because it doesn't shut off when you remove the pot once you rig this up. A paper clip might work also. Good Luck!
