Usually these beeps are signs of hardware failing inside the unit. Does everything load correctly? Start with removing one stick of RAM at a time to see if the beeps stop, if they continue it may be a bad motherboard.
Hi,laptops beep codes is not so popular and every manufacturer use their own beeps, try these ways: 1-if you can log in to windows so try to get some software from internet to check all hardware in your laptop mother board, 2-if cant log in to windows try to see your cpu or graphic card fan works properly 3-may be its heat problem 4-may be checking battery failed 5-may be some bios data change incorrectly 6-may be dust problem(between your hardware and their slots is too dusty and get them unconnected in somewhere) kind regards
A laptop making beep sounds when powered up usually has a problem with the RAM on the motherboard. Sometimes it is the hard drive but difficult to know at this time. Please supply a update in the add a comment section below. Let us know what happened, I.E. spill liquid, power surge or other conditions that led up to your machine not coming on.
How Many Beeps you hear ? 1 Beep Continues > Problem in RAM 2 Beep Continues > Problem in RAM or Mother Board 3 Beep Continues > Problem in Base of RAM is Not Same 4 Beep Continues > Problem in Time System etc. i Recomended to you to see at zylone81.indonesianforum.net/forum/ for to know Computer and laptop Problem from Beep sound.
Does beeping noise happened before turning on laptop? If yes unplug the laptop from the AC Adapter. Just leave AC Adapter ON and connected to the power outlet. Check if AC Adapter is the one making beeping noise. Note: This is an issue with dell AC Adapter laptops
If no beeping noise in AC Adapter then proceed checking it from the laptop. Does beeping noise happened immediately when laptop is turned on? If yes then it might be laptop's hard drive creating the sound. Try to check the BIOS in your laptop under the category performance if the HDD Acoustic is ON either in Normal or Performance. Note: When laptop is in performance the hard drive makes noise due to its speed, this is normal if BIOS HDD Acoustic mode is ON to performance.
If the noise only happens when sometime while working on the laptop, this might be cause by the laptop fan. This also happens after turning on the laptop fan my have dirt and dust, please do check.
If fan was cleaned, HDD performance was checked and AC adapter was checked then, carefully sense if noise is coming from the internal speakers.
Download the latest BIOS update for your laptop then flash the BIOS. Make sure battery and AC adapter are connected when doing these.
You've checked the memory board/card, but have you tried using another memory card? The 1 long followed by 2 short beeps indicates that there's a problem with the memory card. Try to remove the memory card, then wipe the gold traces with a dry cloth and put it back in.
If you try replacing the memory card but you get the same problem, then proceed with the video card.
