4 some reson my sony erricson w580i won't turn on and when i try all i see is a red flashin light 4 about 2 seconds. i tried 2 take out the batterie and i tried 2 charge it but no results.
i need help!

If that works, you should be okay from that point on.
Call AT&T tell them about the problem.
Then if they tell you to send it back, send it back to them, and then, they should send you a new phone.

I have the same problem, but since mine was purchased as a refurb and the 90 day warranty is up, ATT won't fix it. Is there another solution??
Sony Ericsson w580i.... when I try to turn phone on, all I get is a red flashing light. I've tried removing the battery aslo tried charging - neither works.
I know the charger works because it still charges my w300i
I too have the same problem. My sony ericsson w580i got discharged completely and then switched off, even after charging for 10 hours, I coudnt switch it on.

Same problem -- fully charged battery, phone won't start. After removal and replacement of battery I press power button and red light on side flashes 6 times very quickly (about 1 second or so).
