Question about Vizio XVT3D474SV 47 in. 3D LCD TV
After having my brand new Vizio have freezing issues from the day that I brought it home and 3 exchanges later, I finally have a resolution to a problem that i'm sure is common, but can't find a single solution and not even a mention of this from Visio themselves which is strange. My tv would work flawless, until I wanted to connect to a network via wif-fi or wired. As soon as it would connect everything would freeze up.. No response from the remote or the actual buttons on the side of the tv..a million power resets won't fix this so don't waste your time going thru those frustrating steps. Trust me, I exchanged my tv 3 times over a course of 3 months through Visio (all very smooth and hassel free experiences I might add) but they just couldn't find the right answer and I was frustrated and on the verge of returning it. Then I reached tier 3 tech support at visio and they got down to the solution together and if you are having this issue here is your solution and should solve your freezing problem so you can enjoy an otherwise fantastic tv. When connecting to a network either using wi-fi or ethernet make sure that any computers or other devices that may be using a DLAN network or DNLA software is disabled or turned off. They cause a conflict with the tv's network settings and causes it to freeze. In my particular case I am on a Mac and had a DLAN network running on a program called TVMOBili, once i turned it off and no other devices are running on DNLA everything works perfect. Hope this helpful and saves someone from going through the same frustration as I did.

SOURCE: SV470XVT Vizio picture freezes
Hello, This seems more like an interface problem then a board issue. Which interface are you using Component Video, HDMI or , RF(F Connector)? If you are using the RF (F Connector) there might be a problem in the tuner including the RF and IF sections on the circuit board. If you are using HDMI there might be a problem in the HDMI Integrated Circuit If you are using componente video the there might be a problem in the video circuits connected to the RCA jacks of the Component video input. If I were you I would have the take the TV back to the shop and have these items checked out, because board swapping is not the proper thing to do. I hope this helps, Thank you, Shuttle83 http://www.electron-age-technologies-llc.com
