Question about HP Deskjet 3050 Wireless All-in-One Inkjet Printer, Copy/Print/Scan

Open Question

HP 3050A won't load paper

A dog biscuit fell into the paper feed and I tried to print several times not knowing it was in there. Now one of the gears is loud and the paper won't feed properly. I keep getting the message to add paper. It's not going through unless someone stands there and holds one sheet at a time and feeds it.

It doesn't feed the paper through. You have to do one sheet at a time and hold the sheet of paper and "help it along." As a result, the margins aren't as they were formatted because when you're doing it manually, the feed is uneven.

SOURCE: paper feed jam

it will give you a break if the tires are not worn out. Look and feel if they are smooth, if they are smooth and shiny then replace otherwise clean with alcohol.

good luck

SOURCE: Fax double feeds sheets

This may occur if:
-the paper is too thick or too thin
-the roller mechanism is not properly aligned or has worn out
-the sheets of paper stick together

things you can try:
-unload the paper in the main tray and bend the stack of paper to loosen it up. Reload the paper to the main tray

Hope this helps!

Lexmark X4530 won't load paper to copy

Leading cause of paper jams is debris / foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed area. Please try this approach to fix the problem:

  1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.
  2. Grab a flashlight and look inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.
  3. If you're willing and physically able, you may also carefully turn the printer over. Any debris should just freely roll out from the feeder.
  4. If feeder is clear, place the printer on the table. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.
  5. Check the cartridge area for any obstructions in the paper path.
  6. Close the printer cover.
  7. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - the black box where the power cord is plugged into. Re-plug after 30 seconds.
  8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print again to verify that the problem is fixed.
