SOURCE: should the motor on a gas dryer spin freely by

you should be able to turn it by hand if not you need a new motor

You need to check the motor isn't bad which is possible. All of what you have stated is possible. You are going to have to check out each and every one until you find it. But all three can cause it.

SOURCE: Dryer is making loud

If you have a front loading machine,

Remove the electrical console that holds the timer switch, start switch, etc. from the top of the dryer.
Be REAL CAREFUL not to knock any of the wires off of the timer switch. Then you will be able to remove the top of the dryer, after that you will then
remove the front of the dryer. This will expose the drum and belt. Remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm pulley and motor.
Now is a good time to check the belt condition for wear.
Be sure to note the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go to reinstall the belt.
Check your drum rollers for flat spots or wear, if they have flat spots or wear on them replace them.
If the drum rollers don't have flat spots or wear on them then they probably only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil. Reassemble the dryer, plug back in. This should solve your noise problem.
I will include these two websites for parts and further help:
Both also have chat assistance 24/7.
Good Luck,
I hope this helps

Belt smoking

I just had a problem with my belts smoking also. Replaced belt and the same thing happened. Removed deck, flipped it over and their it was. I large stick had somehow gotten wedged between one of the blades and the deck frame, causing the belt to turn but the mandrel would not. Removed the stick and problem solved. I don't know if your problem will be solved as easily as mine but for me it was just a reminder to ALWAYS check the simple things (and normally the ones that doesn't cost) first and you may be surprised.

Belts keep breaking 919.167600

If the motor is breakng belts that fast, most liketly your pump parts aren't turning freely. This is usually caused by a damaged bearing(s). With the belt off, all pump parts should turn freely and smoothly by hand with some more effort needed during the compression stroke. Check for smooth operation of the flywheel bearing, the piston rod bearing, and the piston/cylinder operation. If any of the bearings are damaged and hindering the turning of the flywheel, the motor will burn through your belt.

The tensioner is the only thing that will make a clicking sound, caused by the spring in it. But this doesn't mean that it is bad. To check pullies , remove the belt and turn them. they should spin freely. Turn them slowly also, if you feel any roughness then they are worn out. Do this to everything the belt touches, Alternator, a/c , power steering. Also the pullies should not wobble.

Squelling undrehood on right side ,changed tersioner pully new belt, new water pump,

Make sure your alternator and power steering pumps are turning freely. I personally have never seen a power steering pump lock up, but it could. I have, on the other hand seen numerous alternators freeze up because of bad bearings. Either one would cause a "squalling" sound as the engine runs and tries to rotate the belt over a pulley that isn't turning.

I have ingrosoll rand t30 model 2340 motor is working very hard to spin the compressor sound of compressor is different to , rubber burning smell is also there , but belt is in good shape it is not loose.

May have a bearing going bad. Remove the v-belt and turn the motor by hand. Does it turn hard or produce an unusual noise. If so you have a bad motor bearing. If not turn the pump by hand. If it turns hard or produces an unusual noise you have a bad bearing in the pump. Also move the pump fly wheel up and down , left and right. If you can move it the front bearing is bad.

Son's can pedal 12" bike

Yes, something isn't turning freely. It's either the front wheel, the back wheel, or the pedals and chain. Lift the bike off the ground and turn the front wheel by hand. If it doesn't turn very freely, it could be the hand-brake is dragging or the hub bearing is too tight. Try the back wheel in both directions. It should move freely in the forward direction. When rolling it backwards it is normal for the pedals to move too if this bike has a coaster brake (that is the kind of brake that is applied by pushing the pedals backwards.) It the back wheel moves forward freely, but backwards is a problem, then try the pedals by hand with the rear wheel off the ground. If this doesn't turn freely, the pedal crank bearing (a.k.a. bottom bracket) is too tight. Once you have identified the problem take it back to where you got it. It should be easy to fix, or they should replace it.

03 Chevy Tahoe stalls out while taking a slow

have the a/c compressor checked, the a/c compressor might be locking up due to wear and bad bearings. one way to test is to try turning the compressor clutch while the ENGINE IS OFF, if the clutch is very hard to turn or won't turn at all by hand then the compressor is bad. the clutch is what turns the pully, the pully should spin freely, the compressor clutch is on the end of the compressor on the pully side.

Replacing the serpentine belt

Theres not an easy way, i just had to do this on my ZX2. just put a 13mm socket on the tensioner pully, pull down on it to get it to release, remove belt, and then try to place the belt all around everything but the a/c compresser, then pull back down on the tensioner and wrap the belt around the a/c compresser since its right there on the bottom where you are pulling, so you can use one hand on the tensioner and the other to put the final loop around the compressor, if this doesn't work for you, try to wrap it all but around one of the other pulleys. Mine didn't have a diagram, heres one that i made in paintbrush to help you.
