SOURCE: GE profile Artica side by side. I am getting a frost build up

Sounds like the dispensor flap is not closing completely , pulling outside air in . Using a flashlight on the outside of the flap , look inside to see if any light is visible . If so , then the ice flap plunger and solenoid will have to be replaced . Also , excessive crushed ice can also cause frosting .

SOURCE: ge profile artica ice dispenser and chute frosing.

This may be because the chute door is not all the way shut when off. If yes the warm moist air is being pulled through the opening and causing this. Sea Breeze

SOURCE: no water through door - PSS25MGMA WW

if it still makes ice then that eliminates a lot of things .. if thats the case and you can hear the solonoid operate (click) when you try to get water then you might have a clogged or smashed hose from the solonoid up to the dispenser ... if you cant hear the solonoid operate then check the microswitch that is actuated by the dispenser lever .. also check its wires ... they sometimes break right as they come out of the lower hinge .. .. if the ice maker also doesnt work then check the saddle valve where the hose connects to the main water line ..

Ge gss25wgmd fresh food freezing

You will need to perform a refrigerator self diagnostic test found in the service manual found here=> GSS25WGMD Service Manual
Then go to page 48 of the service manual (Damper Door Not Opening or Not Closing) GE ARTICA PROFILE TECHNICAL INFORMATION This test will help you determine if the problem is the damper, temperature sensor or the control board. Doing these test are not for everyone and may require that you have someone that can perform diagnostics. If you have questions please let me know, Thanks Sea Breeze

Temperature in refrigerator will not stay set. It keeps getting colder. I have a GE Artica model PSS27SGMD. It is a side by side with ice through the door. It is +- 9 years old

GE Artica had problems with the "Motherboards" originally installed. They have since switched manufacturers so my educated guess that is the problem.

Ge profile artica refrigerator door will not close

clip on bottom of hinge is worn or broken had mine replaced. magnetic seals are not strong enough to hold the door closed on their own. Original problem was the magnets were too strong so the clip on the bottom hinge was added.

My freezer (ge artica) temperature goes up to 40%, then cools dow

The main problem with the Artica/Profile is that they have a main control board and a thermostat board inside the fresh food compartment. I have a repair manual and will send you a copy if you want but we are going to have to look at the control boards for burn marks. Let me know if you need me. Thanks, Sea Breeze
