Either a short somewhere---which fuse? The one at the power cord or what?

Other possible reason is wrong fuse----many of the fuses in these sets are special-----if you go and buy some Generic ones--hardware store or Radio Shack the fuse even with same amperage/voltage rating may blow at turn on instantly for no reason------

The fuse goes to the auto shutdown relay from there it goes to two powertrain control modules. Test the relay or replace or there is a short in the system

No power or light, plus power supply keeps blowing fuse

you have a short most likely on the power supply but could be on the mainboard, inverter board, av/input board. The T-con board is fused and should blow its fuse before blowing the fuse on the power supply. I'm going with a faulty power supply, most likely a shorted Mosfet.

Is there a common power issue with Magnavox Model 42MF337B

u have the main switching power supply unit blown. fuse will immediately blow as u have mentioned. they all use smps (switched mode power supply system).  it may be concealed under aluminium plates or cover. look for a  transformer with yellow insulation tape covering near the ac mains input. it is a high frequency tranformer with solid ferrite core. near it there should be the main switching section with a heat sink attached.

Fuses no. 7 & 37 on my 318is K-reg Bmw keep MELTING.

you have to figure out where there is a short in your wiring--follow wires, look for broken, missing insulation--if it started in lights, look there first maybe. Also check the connections of plugs. Good luck it may take some searching.

Keeps blowing fuses

When a fuse keeps blowing, that is an indication that some component has failed and the circuit is drawing too much current. Most likely it is a problem in the power supply section or high voltage / flyback section.

Sorry to say, you will need to take it to be serviced.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.

Good luck!
