How do I fix dell error code 0x8000FFFF: Catastrophic Error.

use photobucket, it's much easier and it syncs automatically.Or you can try to take the memory card out of your phone and stick it in the laptop to do the transfer. Use a micro sd card carrier that plugs into your laptop like a regular sd card. Or you can tell your phone to always connect as a usb mass storage device.

Transfer info from this computer to my new comp. things like Pictures Music.

Copy all your data from the old computer onto a blank CD, blank DVD, or onto a USB flash drive, or external hard drive. Then copy it to the new computer.

When both computers are in the same location, you can use an Ethernet cable to transfer information between machines. If you don’t have a hub, router, or switch, look for a crossover cable to complete the process.

When uploading pictures from my cameras SD card the computer suggests using a hi-speed USB port. I have tried the other ports and it tells me the same thing. Which port is the High speed? Dell Dimension...

you have no high speed ports installed on your computer. what you have is USB 1.0. you can however purchase a high speed USB pci card (usb 2.0) and install it in your computer to get faster transfer speeds.

Data transfer

What I suggest you do is use the file transfer wizaed that is built n in WinXP OS's. From you old Dell go to start>Accs>System tools> file and Transfer wizard.....follow the prompts and save the file to your desktop. After the coolection and creation of the UMT2 folder copy it to a flash drive or use a cross cable between your old and new laptop and share the folder in th network s you can access it directly from your new laptop. Copy he whole folder to the desktop of your new Laptop. Run the same wizard on your new laptop.
