Can't get my h400 into bypass operation mode

I have been working on my heater for the last couple of days. the original problem was a 1f code. I cleared this by cleaning the gas nozzels. during trouble shooting I inadvertantly took it out of bypass mode so now my remote controll won't controll the heater any more. I have tried and tried to get it back into bo mode but can't, any ideas? I took out of bo mode by pressing a couple of buttons on the dispay pad but as I said have been unable to get it back into remote (bo)mode.

    UPDATE: I was able to get my heater back into by pass mode and now all is working as it should. The key pad on the display board is intermittent. I finally caught it right and the heater went to by pass. Problem solved.

SOURCE: I have a hayward gas

Are you sure the fault is IP as this isn't shown as a fault for this model.

IF = Ignition Failure

Does the unit have a separate electrical supply to it and can you hear anything when trying to fire it up (Fan Starting, Clicking, etc)?

Have a bo code heater keeps cycling on and off

BO code is bypass operation. It means that it is set to operate with an external controller. Things like Aqualink, Aqualogic, Intellitouch, EZ-Touch are all types of automation / external controllers. They have their own temperature sensor and allow remote control operation. To truly find the nature of your issue. I'd start by taking it out of bypass operation and see if the unit fires by itself ( without automation hooked up to it ). The fault may lie with the automation system. You never know.

Hayward H400 error code bo

This error means "Bypass Operation". On the back of the control module there are some "dip switches". They have an on or off position. Check switch number 2. Make sure it is in the "off" position. The "on" position is for a remote thermostat.

I have a h400 gas heater. keeps shutting off reading 1F code

If the heater is cycling on and off continuously the problem may be a dirty filter. Try backwashing and rinsing the filter before anything else.

Hayward H400 Pool heater will not stay lit

"IF" - Hayward Pool Heater Fails to Ignite: the most common reason for this problem is insufficient gas supply. The Hayward heater LED display will show a diagnostic fault code of "IF" which stands for Ignition Failure. Undetected gas pressure problems if not investigated properly may result in unnecessary replacement and servicing of your Hayward Pool Heater.
