I have a GPX portable DVD player that is showing wrong region. It was playing these same disks before and now it will not?? Any help?????

Commercial DVD disks are "keyed" to a specific "region".
USA is in "Region 1", and Europe is in a different region.

Some DVD players allow you to "switch region", but only up to FIVE times, and then it "locks" into one region.

My funai DVD player will not play burned disks. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

you can change your DVD player or change type of DVD's that you are burning and check if they will work.

some explanation can be found here about different DVD types:

My Mustek DVD player does not play DVD's recorded on the pc. On the pc all the regular programs like media player and power dvd play the disk, but the Mustek player says ''Wrong disk'' What can I do?

some players will only play back DVD-R .. some only DVD+R .. many older ones wont play DVD rewritables at all...

DVD+ and - R recordings have lower contrast than purchased factory DVDs .. so if the laser in your mustek has a bit of dust then that will first effect computer written disks .. you can get a cleaning disk .. those have little brushes that brush off dust from the laser lens .. more likely though if your mustek is an older type, that you have to use DVDs that are compatable with it .. while DVD+R is the better format .. most older DVD players are compatable with DVD-R ... so thats kind of the standard that works in most players .. however there are a few exceptions .. most newer equip will play either, even rewritables ...

Samsung DVD-V$357 recorded dvds won't play on other machines

Did you finalize the disk? If not, this should solve your problem. When the disk is finalized you should be able to play it on your computer if you can play other DVDs on it. Some other DVD players can only play specific disks (i.e. DVD-R, DVD+R). This may be another problem.

Mizuda dvd player wont read dvds

Hi,

A couple of things To try.

1:) The DVD Player May be Region encoded, can only play certain region Dvds. ** Try different Disks**

2:) The Disk May Be Dirty-Scratched ( Towards The Centre )
** Clean The Disk With A Soft Lint-Free Cloth**

3:) The Laser Head may have a speck of dust or debris on it.
** Try a Laser Cleaning CD**

Hope this works For You.
