Question about Computers & Internet
In my class students created text slides. They did not put them in the movie but did save them. When they came back to the computer lab the next day, the text slides were gone. Do they need to be put into the movie to be saved? Thanks

Try saving the performance within Orchestra itself - under the system menu. It's a *** coz you have the load this performance each time you load the song, but easier than having to remember how you set it up the first time!!
Pan and level can normally be set from the midi channel playing the voice.

Open up the piano roll window for the sample you have selected. Use the highlight tool, which looks of a dashed square, to select the entire pattern by dragging your cursor from the top right corner of the piano roll diagonally to the left bottom corner of the piano roll. If you can't see all of the bars used, then try sizing the track in the piano roll closer together by placing your cursor on the square directly to the right of the horizontol scroll bar. Hold down the left click and move your mouse down to track the piano roll closer or move the mouse upwards to span it more. Select all of the bars used in the piano roll and click the down arrow in the very upright corner. Select Edit > Copy. This will copy all of the bars in the current piano roll. To paste the pattern simply click the down arrow again in the upright corner and select Edit > Paste in any piano roll.

You can create part-time or temporary 'Out of Office' automated replies in Microsoft Outlook. These can be set so that whenever you leave the office, an auto reply is sent.
This is useful if you have a high volume of e-mail messages and are expected to reply to them quickly.
You can fully customize your auto reply in Microsoft Outlook 2010.
Launch Microsoft Outlook from the Start Menu.
Click "New E-mail." Click "Plain Text."
Enter the message for your out-of-office reply in the main body of the text.
Click "File," then "Save As." Click the "Save as type" list and select "Outlook Template." Enter a name such as "out of office" and click "Save."
Click "File," then "Info." Click "Rules and Alerts," then "New Rule."
Click "Start from a blank rule," then "Check messages when they arrive," then "Next." Set "Sent Only to Me" in the conditions list and click "Next."
Select "Reply using a specific template," then choose "Specific template" on the next page as well.
Click "Select a Reply Template." Choose the template you already created and click "Open." Click "Finish," then "OK." All e-mails will now have the out-of-office reply. Disable it in "Rules" to switch it off.
Hope this helps
