Question about Zebra LP 2824 Plus Thermal Label Printer
I've been struggling with this issue for over 3 months! We have a Zebra LP 2824 Plus connected to a WYSE Thin Client via USB. The Thin Client connects to a server via Remote Desktop in order to use a program that allows the workers to create and send a "defect label" barcode to the Zebra printer to be printer (we're in a factory environment). Here's the issue, whenever they send a label to the printer to be printed, the printer prints one label, and then continues to spew out endless of blank labels until it errors out (red light). After I clear the error and press the button, it starts to do the same thing all over again. I restored the printer to factory defaults, re-installed it using the ZDDesigner driver and can print out a Windows test page without any issue, but when I send a label to it over remote desktop, the same thing occurs. To make matters worse, I tried a different (brand new) printer of the same model and I still get the same issue. Is this a driver issue? HELP!!!!
OK where is the print spooler on the remote client or the server. Have you check whether this is clearing and not an issue with your remote setup and not the printer does the printer work correctly attached directly to the server break the problem down in stages

It sounds like they may need to set their "Q" values for the labels they are using. If that isn't it, we may need more info - are they using Zebra brand or custom labels?
To start with, I would ask them to try adding these "Q" value commands: q456 Q152,24
If that doesn't work, then maybe they can provide the other info mentioned above so we can understand the problem better.

Go into the printer driver and select print a test page, does it print out?
If so then try printing from your label software, it should work, if not then it is your software that is at fault.
If the test page does not print out then check all the settings in the print driver, so they are the same as the physical label.
If non of this helps then go to www.lancerlabels.co.uk and do a live chat to Michael.

As the previous expert has stated, with the printer paused, press the cancel key to cancel the job. One thing to note, is depending on how your software sends the print jobs, you may say print 1000 labels, but the software sends it one at a time, so basically you have 1000 print jobs in the printer. If you pause the printer, press and hold the cancel key. Hold it for about 2 mins. This should clear the buffer.
