We had the Sears repairman out. THere were no problems with the supply line. The entire door easily freeze. You can take a hairdryer to the door for about 5-7 minutes and get it to unclog, but it will re-freeze again. I hat this freezer!!

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. 1ST LOOK AT THE BACK OF YOUR FRIDGE. MAKE SURE THAT THE VENTS ARE CLEAR OF HAIR AND DEBRIS. YOU MAY NEED TO REMOVE THE BACK PLATE AND VACUME THE DUST FROM THE COMPRESSOR MOTOR. IF IT CAN NOT BREATHE PROPERLY IT WILL WORK HARDER AND HARDER CAUSING THE FREEZER TO BECOME TOO COLD AND WILL FREEZE THE WATER LINE THAT GOES TO THE DOOR. AFTER THE BACK IS CLEAN LOOK UNDER THE FRONT OF THE FRIDGE AND FIND THE WATER LINE TO THE FREEZER DOOR. TAKE THE CONNECTOR LOOSE ON THE SIDE CLOSE TO THE DOOR AND PRESS THE WATER BUTTON. IF WATER SQUIRTS OUT THEN THE LINE IS PROBABLY BLOCKED WITH ICE. RE-CONNECT THE WATER LINE AND UNPLUG YOUR FRIDGE. YOU WILL NEED TO LET IT DEFROST AND THE WATER SHOULD WORK AGAIN. YOU CAN SHINE A FLOOD LIGHT ON THE FREEZER DOOR TO WARM IT UP AND SPEED UP THE THAWING PROSCESS. IT ONLY TOOK ME ABOUT 20 MINUTES.

TAKE THE KICKPLATE OFF THE BOTTOM OF THE REFRIGERATOR IN THE FRONT AND YOU WILL SEE THE WATER TUBING ON THE LEFT SIDE. DISCONNECT THE TUBE BY PUSHING IN ON THE WHITE PART OF THE CONNECTOR AND PULLING OUT ON THE TUBE AT THE SAME TIME. ONCE APART, TRY BLOWING THROUGH THE TUBE THAT GOES INTO THE DOOR. CHANCES ARE, THE TUBE IS FROZEN INSIDE OF THE DOOR. GE MAKES A HEATER KIT TO CURE THIS PROBLEM BUT I AM SORRY THAT I DONT HAVE THE NUMBER OFF HAND. POSSIBLY GE NUMBER WR49X10173?

My ice maker is pooring out water. How do you stop the water from pooring out?

unplug frig,if water still come's in than you have a bad inlet valve and nead to turn water off.if water doe's not come in than you nead to unplug ice maker and plug frig back in.if no water come's in than you have a bad ice maker.in most case's you are better off buying a new ice maker.

Water always leaking out from bottom of fridge

If you have a ice maker check to see if the leak is coming from where the water connects into the back of the frig. If you dont have a ice maker. Look under the frig and be sure that you have a drain pan in place.

GE older ice maker won't make ice

pull the cover of the front of the ice maker. there should be directions as to what way to turn the main gear (use a philips screw driver). advance the ice maker until it starts to run on its own. if water comes in at the end of the cycle then you need a new ice maker. if no water comes in check to make sure the fill tube is not frozen. if it is clear replace the water valve.

Good Luck,
Todd

No ice making

First i would check the water valve in the back. One side is for water.. the other side is for the ice maker... If you have a ohms meter check selonid for continuity look for blisters of plastic on sides showing in would be bad... You can also make a test cord to energise the valve by passing the icemaker to tell if valve is good. ALSO This would put water into you ice maker telling you.. you have a clear path for water to icemaker You only need to plug in for few seconds .. to keep from over filling icemaker if vavle good and water comes thu
