Question about Onkyo TX-NR5008 9.2 Channel Network A/V Receiver
I bought the unit for aound 2 years. I suffer the same problem last few weeks after I plug in a new device and then follow by another pure audio device. I unplug all these devices but problem persists. I do remember this problem do happen one or twice before. But a reset usually help just not this time. Finally, I unplug all hdmi devices and put it back again with the power completely off. I also change the new hdmi device from hdmi 6 to 7. If you experience the same problem, you may try to do the same as I did. Hope this help.

Bad capacitors on HDMI board.. same problem here. in fact this problem is endemic with many effected onkyo models. temporary fix: leave on (works for a while) or use heat lamp to warm up unit before use. for permanent fix, see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gj0x5S9ez5U
