SOURCE: Washer trips circuit breaker

Is washer relatively new? Check circuit breaker for proper size (20 AMPS). Washer must also be on its own circuit. It appears that when the motor starts up it is causing a spike in current (as with any motor), so the breaker is either undersized (Note that if breaker is undersized and you up it to the next size you would also need to replace the wire with the next size up which would be 12/2 with ground), or if you have had your washer a while which I believe is your case the circuit breaker is weakening and is tripping on the current spike. Try swapping out your circuit breaker with a new one and try running the washer again.

Kenmore 110-88752793 washer dryer. Tub filled up for the rinse cycle and then stopped. Tried turning on the dryer and that has no power either. Cycled the circuit breaker. Still nothing. Any ideas?

The circuit that supplies your washer and dryer may also have an in-line GFI outlet which may have tripped. Even though you have cycled the circuit breaker you would also have to reset the GFI outlet as well. Good luck.

Microwave tripping breaker

The microwave may be too big for the circuit it's on. The breaker is tripping to protect the circuit. Try to determine how many appliances/lights/etc are running on this circuit. If there are alot of things, you may try turning some of them off when trying the microwave. If not, then you may have an electrical issue in the wiring or the breaker.
NEVER replace a breaker/fuse with anything larger than what's already in there (recommended by code or a manufacturer).

Older Kenmore model 110.82673110 washing machine keeps tripping the GFI. Replaced GFI but problem persists. How can I fix this?

i would install a regular outlet... and if the circuit breaker blows. then their is a direct short within the washer .i never heard of GFI being used on a washer ..remove it.. their may be other outlets on this circuit also that can adding to it tripping. like frig.. find out what is on that circuit by shutting off the breaker for washer see what else goes off...

I have a Kenmore model 20802990 washer, it will run for a short while and then stop working, it is almost as if the circuit breaker trips because when I turn the circuit breaker of then back on and switch...

well you right in saying "its triping the braker off" thats what it is doing,,
there is a problem with the washer motor,,its pulling far to many amps so its a fulty motor,,,and it will just keep triping the trip out,,,
its a good job you have trips,,the motor could have gone up in smoke

Kenmore top load washing maching tripping the breaker

the breaker is likely worn out, have that checked by service person first, then check that machine does not need to be lubed etc. for too high a load on the circuit.

Kenmore 60 series washer

No power Check to see whether power is getting to the washing machine. Is it plugged in? Has a fuse blown or is a circuit breaker tripped?

Lid switch If the lid switch is defective, your washer can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washer to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

Some machines have a special lid-switch fuse near the lid switch, inside the control panel. If this fuse blows, the unit won't fill with water until you replace the fuse.
