Question about LG 37 inch 5ms HDMI/HDCP Wide-Screen LCD Monitor Black Refurbi
After turing on the tv it shuts off after a few minutes then it will not come back on and you have to unplug the tv to turh off the power
The real clue is you have to unplug it- That means to me the microprocessor in the set is locking up or confused because of whatever is wrong with the set.
I suggest removing the set, Any cable or satellite box, and or a receiver from power for several minutes. It cannot hurt and in many cases helps a lot.
It will allow units to try to reboot. I have had two here recently where the signal from a box was causing the set to shut down or lock up.
failing that get it to a shop and have it looked at.

Bad caps in the power supply. Replace all bad cap or replace Power Supply Module. If you choose to try and fix it yourself yourself will need a ESR Meter to check the caps in circuit. Let me know if this helps.

Theres a short between the start-up processor signal on the interface board and power supply. It keeps sending the same start-byte over and over again to the power board. This could also be a DC high voltage shutdown on the power board its self. Now the tv is in protection mode to prevent further damage. Get it serviced at your local repair center. If its under warranty take it back.
