SOURCE: System Error E000

okay lets shed some light on the E000 error code on the D680, D880, IR1300 family ( including the 1310,1330,1370,1630,1670)
The error code E00 is a memory threshold error what it means is your machine has logged 4 of the following errors, E001,E002, or E003. It is a lockout error and the machine cannot be used untill the problem has been repaired or the errors cleared. First lets look at the errors:
E001 fuser overtemp means the fixing assy has exceeded the manufacures maximun temp limits
E002 fuser temp dropout means the fixing assy has cooled below a set point during a copy session
E003 fuser no responce means the fixing assy didnt even attempt to warm up at power on
How to fix, most common problem is bad power setting 4 E002's either brown outs of brief power failures.
To clear the error, Enter service mode by pressing additional functions then the # button, use the left or right arrow buttons to scroll to #7 printer press set. again use the arow buttons to scroll to #4 printer reset press set.press the approprite arrow key under the YES to clear the error. unplg the copier and reboot. At this time normal function should return if not and it resets a E00 the nyou can assume either the fixing asy is bad or either the power supply PCB or DC controller is bad and it is getting E001,E003 errors. At that point id call a qualified tech to reserch the problem to avoid spending money on excess parts

IX. SELF DIAGNOSIS The DC controller PCB has a microprocessor that diagnoses the functions of the copier (particularly the sensors) at appropriate intervals. If this microprocessor detects an abnormality, it will display the type of the abnormality on the indicator on the control panel. The table below shows the various fault codes, their meaning, and the corresponding detection timing. Example of E000 code indication: Eó000 light alternately. Fault criteria • If the temperature difference between the thermistors 1 and 2 is 60°C or higher. • If the fixing asssembly temperature is lower than 50°C after 15 sec from the power-on. If the tempereture remains 220°C or higher for 0.1 sec or longer. If warm-up is not over after 60 sec from when the temperature reached 50°C. If fixing unit temperature drops below 50°C when the copier is in stand by or copying. If the C HEAT CHECK signal is on while the HEAT ON signal is off. If the main motor speed feedback signal does not appear after 2 sec from the main motor. If the break signals is generated continuously for 0.1 sec or more when the counter is not being driven. How do i clear error e000007-0000 on a canon ir 2200 photocopier

Fixing film assembly may need to be replaced if error cannot be cleared. Fixing error codes should be reset by a professional only. Fuser assembly must be examined before resetting the E000, E001, E003 and E007 codes. Enter the service mode this way: Press "Additional Function" key, Press "2" and "8" simultaneously, press "Additional Function" key again. Go to COPIER----FUNCTIONS-----CLEAR----ERR. Here your tech can reset the error codes. Then turn machine off & on again.

Canon IR 2000 copier is showing System Error E000

Hello,

From my searches online the first course of action seems to be resetting the printer in service mode.

I attempted to clear it in service mode:
1. Press ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS, #
2. Go to #7 Printer and press OK
3. Go to #4 Printer Reset and press OK
4. Yes = ( > )

However, when I press the yes (>) nothing happens.

Does anyone know why this is not working?
