How to repair ifrogz vertex wiring

The wire on the mic side disconnected from the driver but i don't know individual wire specs. I'm just trying to fix them i just need a wire schematic or even just a color guide would be efficient.

Wires under hood chewed by rats


Don't know what you need

Open up the wire harness enough to be able to make a repair

You slide heat shrink tubing over the wire,add wire, any color
but the same wire size or gauge & solder them & then heat shrink

If only the plastic is chewed & no copper wire ,then seal with clear
nail polish & tape real tight with 3M hi temp electrical tape,home
depot has that
Then use the stretchy rubber tape to cover all repaired wires,
unless you like you heat shrink job.

You just match the wire colors & strips that isn't the question

Code p0356? ing coil F primary/secondary circuit. where is it?


One of the coil packs have shorted. The code refers to cylinder #6. That is the front bank, right side (Drivers side) while facing the engine.

The COP (coil on plug) ignition system is what is used on most modern engines. There is an individual coil for each cylinder that is controlled by the PCM (powertrain control module). It eliminates the need for spark plug wires by putting the coil right above the sparkplug. Two wires are dedicated to each coil. One is a battery feed usually from the power distribution center. The other wire is the coil driver circuit from the PCM. The PCM grounds/ungrounds this circuit to activate or deactivate the coil. The coil driver circuit is monitored by the PCM for faults
If an open or a short is detected in the driver circuit for coil #6, a P0356 may set. Also, depending on the vehicle, the PCM may also shut down the fuel injector to the cylinder also.

Potential causes of a P0356 code include:
  • Short to voltage or ground on COP driver circuit
  • Open on COP driver circuit
  • Loose connection at coil or broken connector locks
  • Bad Coil (COP)
  • Faulty Powertrain Control Module

Is the engine misfiring presently? If not, the problem is likely intermittent. Try wiggle testing the wiring at the #6 coil and along the wiring harness to the PCM. If manipulating the wiring causes the misfire to surface, repair the wiring problem. Check for poor connection at the coil connector. Verify the harness isn't misrouted or chafing on anything. Repair as necessary

Using a scope will give you a visual pattern to observe, but since most people don't have access to one there's an easier way. If you don't detect any frequency signal from the PCM on the ignition coil driver circuit indicating the PCM is grounding/ungrounding the circuit (or there is no visible pattern on the scope if you have one) then leave the coil disconnected and check for DC voltage on the driver circuit at the ignition coil connector. If there is any significant voltage on that wire then there is a short to voltage somewhere. Find the short and repair it.
If there is no voltage on the driver circuit, then turn the ignition off. Disconnect the PCM connector and check the continuity of the driver between the PCM and the coil. If there is no continuity repair the open or short to ground in the circuit. If continuity is present, then check for resistance between ground and the ignition coil connector. There should be infinite resistance. If there isn't, repair the short to ground in the coil driver circuit
NOTE: If the ignition coil driver signal wire is not open or shorted to voltage or ground and there is no trigger signal to the coil then suspect a faulty PCM coil driver. Also keep in mind that if the PCM driver is at fault, there may be a wiring problem that caused the PCM failure. It's a good idea to do the above check after PCM replacement to verify there won't be a repeat failure. If you find that the engine isn't misfiring, the coil is being triggered properly but P0356 is continually being reset, there is the possibility that the PCM coil monitoring system may be faulty.

If an open or a short is detected in the driver circuit for coil #6, a P0356 may set. Also, depending on the vehicle, the PCM may also shut down the fuel injector to the cylinder also.

One of the coil packs have shorted. The code refers to cylinder #6. That is the front bank, right side (Drivers side) while facing the engine.

What you can do to be sure is swap that coil, with the one next to it (cylinder 4). Disconnect the battery for a minute to clear the codes and drive it, The code should come back and be a p0354. That will confirm that coil pack (which is now in middle cylinder) is bad.

Potential causes of a P0356 code include:

Short to voltage or ground on COP driver circuit
Open on COP driver circuit
Loose connection at coil or broken connector locks
Bad Coil (COP)
Faulty Powertrain Control Module

Possible Solutions

Is the engine misfiring presently? If not, the problem is likely intermittent. Try wiggle testing the wiring at the #6 coil and along the wiring harness to the PCM. I changed the timing chains on a 98 Lincoln navigator and i have now P0355 ignition coil e primary/secondary circuit

I want to know how to go about changing the spark plugs on my 2000 GMC Jimmy. I have no idea where they are or where to start. Is there a manual online that explains this process?


Surely you can see the ignition coils
& the wire going to the spark plugs,
if you have individual coils

If you have a distributor, then i would
assume you have no problem with
those wires

You may need to go in over the drivers
side suspension ,for a couple of those plugs

You will need a lot of different wrench & extension
combinations

Don't know about an online manual
If you need that ,your mechanical expertise
is in question

I purchased a new Goodman AC/Heat inside and out side units, am getting ready to run the wiring to the sub panel, Not sure what wire to use from the main braker box to the sub box have found different...


http://www.encorewire.com/docs/amp%20voltage.pdf is a diagram of what size wire and type you need for different amperage. As you can see the 10/3 recommendation is good for a maximum of 30 amps in copper and 25 in aluminum.

I haven't found the CKL36AR36 installation guide, so I don't don't know which circuit breaker size you need to install. But it should be listed in your installation guide that you got with your unit. Make sure that you have the correct disconnect within 6 feet of the unit to meet code.

Cat chewed through right speaker wire that supplies right speaker...tried sawdering wires together...still no sound...is there a special way to connect these??? thanks


Look carefully over the entire length of the wire for any puncture or crushed insulation. Cat teeth, especially kitten teeth, can exert needle-like pressure that could sever the wire without leaving easily visible damage. My rock-headed cat does this too.

Almost universally, a red or green colored wire is (+) and a copper colored wire is the ground (-). Make sure the same colored wires are soldered together.

The best way to repair headphone wires is to offset the solder joints of the (+) wire and the ground wire so that they don't short circuit. Inotherwords, don't have the solder joints opposite of each other so that they might touch together.

A good quality shrink tubing should go over the repair to relieve stress on the soldered joints. These wires, by the way, are enamel-coated and need to be tinned with resin-core electronic solder before joining and soldering the wires together.

Don't breathe the fumes when soldering and wash your hands after you are done handling the solder.

I dnt hve my owners manual and I need to know wht fuse and relay is connected to my compressor. Please help. 2007 sebring


i assume you are refering to you a/c compressor .----- the fuse covers under the hood & on driver's side dash should have a listing on the back side , if you don't have the covers try checking for a repair manual at your library . these fuse & relays don't normaly go bad unless the compressor is bad or a short in wires . if you a/c does't work at all it's probaly low on freon charge, there is cut-off swithes built in to the system so the compressor does't run with out lubercation that is carryed by the freon.

normaly when pulled out the cable is also come inside defective, probably better a new mic spare. you can spend time repairing and still no working well
