Fine audio equipment from Japanese manufacturer's like Onkyo is typically "stand-alone", meaning there often is no universal remote control available that will work a given unit; those that will work are rarely capable of accessing all the features & functions such units employ...best bet is an original equipment remote control; recommend you try going to this site:

http://www.onkyousa.com/

and search for links to the P-3160 preamp & how to contact the Sales Department about cost & availability...

How do I program an AT&T u-verse remote to an ONKYO RC-866M remote

The RC-866M is the remote. What you need to do is add the codes for your Onkyo receiver into the ATT remote. There are 4 or 5 different Uverse remotes, but most can be reprogrammed by pressing the 'Menu' and 'OK' button together. First add your Onkyo codes to the ATT remote as an 'aux' device. After that is working, you can control the power and volume by adding the 'aux' device (Onkyo) to the power and volume buttons on the uverse remote.

These are all the different Onkyo Receiver codes:
Onkyo: 5002, 5018, 5073, 5074, 5075, 5076, 5077, 5078, 5079, 5080, 5081, 5082, 5084, 5085, 5086, 5087, 5130, 5131, 5140

This is how to reprogram the S10 style of Uverse remote:

I have an ONKYO TX-SV717Pro amp. recently I lost

It could be that you lost the power supply to the surround amp IC or the Ic is defective. It should be mounted on a circuit board attached to the heatsink. Look for poor solder connections first. I don't recall the specifics of this model, but the surround amp IC should be easily located.

Update this with your progress and I'll try to locate the service manual in the meantime.

Onkyo P-3160 pre-amp doesn't output on the right channel. Think it can be fixee?

Most likely it can be fixed. One of the things that could stymie this is if there is a part that is not available. It also would be nice if a service manual or diagram is available though that might not be essential (a genuine maybe here) if the repairer is familiar with preamps in general. Of course who would repair it and what it would cost are prime considerations. I likely would be able to repair it were I still in business but I am retired and that is not the case. Nor do I believe that even were I not, that this would be possible due to Fix-Ya rules (can't solicit business).

Onkyo CR-505Dab - no sound!

The problem could be with the remote itself. The volume buttons on remotes usually get the most use and therefore wear out. Try using a universal remote programmed for your Onkyo and see if that works.

P-301 onkyo pre-amp

Hi juicer, If you use the switched outlet, then everything will be turned on/off when you operate the preamp power switch. Use the unswitched, then you have to turn off each unit separately. You choose which one you want. It wont matter.

What connection do you intend to use to connect the LBT zx6 to the Onkyo preamp??
