How many beeps? They all mean something. You can buy books that explain what the beep codes mean. Or someone on this website will tell you. It sounds like you had a progressive hardware failure. It could be many things. Sent in the number of beeps and someone will decipher them for you.

Why does my tower beep one time during shut down?

If it does not detect an optional sound card or the integrated sound in the motherboard, it will beep rather than play the "Windows shut down" music. This is a normal operation and nothing to fret.

Installedmemory now pavillion ze4610 just beeps and shuts down.

Make sure your battery is removed, unplug, reseat memory mods, make sure they are inserted fully. I assumed the 512MB are used? New? There is no reason , that I can come up with, they should not work? I have upgraded many memory mods without incident.

For that when you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in safe mode then go to start menu->run type in run "chkdsk /r" without "" then restart computer then it fix errors .
If still not able to see windows then again press F8 then enter in enabler vga mode then go to display property and change screen resolution to 1024*768 then apply and ok then check.
If still same then you need windows disk boot computer with that disk.
When you power up the computer press F1 or F2 or "del" key then enter in bios then go to boot menu and set first boot device as cd/dvd rom then save settings and exit then it boot with that disk.
Follow the procedure and enter in recovery console then type "chkdsk /r" then it fix errors on harddrive then after completion restart it again boot and this time choose "repair previous windows" then it repairs it then you can use windows again.
