if it was the right link to the right driver might i ask why i got an innaproprate rating? Innapropriate means the solution i gave had absolutely nothing to do with the question you posted. The rating you gave me lowers my percentage quite a bit.

Hate to ask then but could you change it to something more appropriate. The rating is locked after you set it and ony you can change it. It would be much appreciated

Need a sound driver for toshiba satellite A105 - windows Xp

Here's what I usually do when looking for drivers for people.

Open Device Manager (Right click My Computer -> Properties -> Device Manager tab)

-Scroll down to your Sound card with the yellow exclamation mark (missing driver)
-Right click on it and look for the DevID (Device ID)

Take that 4 digit code to www.PCIdatabase.com

The site will let you look up the Device code and tell you exactly what driver you need, and most times there will be a direct link to a download page.

    Problem with cd/dvdw driver

An exclamation mark next to the cd/dvdw in device manage means that there is a problem with the device's drivers. Either they are not the correct driver, or it has become corrupt. Try reinstalling the driver from the Toshiba website.
