Question about RCA 14F512T 14" TV
Time: 1:35 AM, December 7, 2012 Tweaking with my computers when suddenly the television shuts off by itself. Never happened with me before (Well... It has happened once in 2006/2007). The blue bars did not come closing, and the sound did not turn off. I really, REALLY hope the wire's not frayed. EDIT: A little searching on Google and I came accross a commonly searched result "tv turns off by itself rca". Thanks for your help!
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: 32 RCA makes popping sounds
It needs a new FLY BACK transformer. That is what you are looking at. The origionals are not made for the set any longer but insist on having a generic on installed by a local TV shop. I just put one into a RCA 31" and it works nice. Don't throw away the TV. Get it fixed. MAKE SURE YOU INSIST THEY USE THE GENERIC ONE! THEY DO WORK!

this sometimes is quite simple to fix as it cud be a dry joint on the circuit board where the tube motor sits.
or it cud be the tube is on its way out, which wud be cheaper to buy a new tv rather than have it fixed
