  • It's in safe mode
  • Remove a battery
  • While holding the 2 button on the number pad section of the remote, replace the battery
  • Let go of the 2 button
  • This will take it out of safe mode
  • The device buttons will stop flashing and the remote will work

SOURCE: The screen on my logitech harmony 1000 remote goes white.

I would advise you do a firmware update. With anything, if you can remove the batteries and get it to work, the firmware is usually the fix that will resolve the issue. If you dont know how to do a firmware update, just look at the link below!

SOURCE: Logitech Harmony 880 LCD / TV screen ''check signal cable''

This is a configuration problem. My guess is that when you set up the "Watch TV" Activity, the input source was not properly selected. Remember, you should almost never need to control devices separately,(as you would with a typical remote). In fact, the only time you need to specifically control a device would be a situation where you need to access a little-used function that was not programmed as part of an 'activity'. Sometimes, you may need to control a device to tweak an activity that did not start correctly, but apart from these situations, you will almost always be concerned with starting "Activities". This is very different from your typical universal remote! Instead of operating 'devices' like your TV, cable box or DVD, you configure and select "Activities" that automatically control the devices that are used during that activity. So, go back into the Logitech software and make sure that your Watch TV activity is selecting the appropriate input. If everything is setup correctly, and you still are unable to go to the correct input, you may need to adjust some of your delay settings, especially the Power-on Delay. Power on delay is the amount of time it takes for the device to turn on and start accepting IR commands. On most electronics when you first turn them on if you hit other buttons too quickly the device will not respond to them. This delay helps to keep that from happening. Hope this helps!

Hi, your remote may not be programmed to the TV. Read the manual for the remote for instructions. If remote has been used a lot the remote's buttons may also be worn. Try testing your remote.

I need to know how to program my logitech harmony 520 remote with my samsung tv i dont have the box or info it came with

If you have the USB cable that came with your remote, connect your remote to your computer using the cable.
Go to www.logitech.com/myharmony and identify your particular remote (i.e. Harmony 520).
The site will download setup software into your remote and then ask you to set up your account.
Beyond that point, the site will provide you with a clear, step-by-step process which will ask you to identify the activities you'd like to set up (watching tv, a movie, etc.). Be sure you have the brand names and model numbers of the devices you'd like to link to your remote.
Programming is done automatically without your having to look up codes, etc.
When everything is done, click the "sync" button or whatever command button completes the programming for the Harmony 520 (I say "sync" because that's the closing command for the Harmony 600, which is the one I have. I would think the closing command is the same or similar for the 520).
After that, you're good to go.

Happy viewing.

Need to get passed the language screen without remote. Universal remotes won't help. Dog chewed up remote. Once I get beyond the language then I can use cable remote for channels, but I'm not able to...

Unfortunately, this TV doesn't have an alternative for the original remote. I wish the TV buttons could be used in the menus. A programmable universal remote, such as the Logitech Harmony, probably could be made to work the Menu functions. Alternatively, http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Search&o=c&uid=0&m=MW24FP1&uuid=12836576773350 has a new substitute remote that should exactly match the functions of the original or a used remote that is an exact match.

I wish that I could be of more help.

My harmony 520 simply stopped working.

Have you tried resetting your Logitech Harmony 520 remote by updating your remote's firmware? Firmware replacement fixes several Harmony problems.

To upgrade or reapply the firmware on your Harmony remote:
  1. Launch the Harmony remote software and log into your account.
  2. Click on the Downloads button at the top-right corner of your screen.
  3. Click on the Firmware button. Follow the onscreen instructions to upgrade the firmware on your Harmony remote.
  4. Once the firmware upgrade is complete, click on the Update Remote button.
I hope that helps.
