Need a dc 15v adaptor to power my vestax ge31 graphic equalizer . adaptor is missing .can a non vestax adapter work. do not want to blow it up. will buy vestax if I know where to buy ,just getting started in music thank you GUY MORFORD

Check the adapter itself bow out, when it is plugged to Wall AC socket. Do not load it to TV, and check this. If it blows up, the fault is with the adapter itself. If it don't, the fault must be within the TV circuit.
Provided the store which sells the universal type guarantees the voltage and current factor as available on the original Vestax, you can proceed to buy the type.
Also the product must be a good one to work without heating or have reduced life due to poor quality.
Be careful, not all 12 Volt adaptors are the same. Some put out AC voltage and others DC. You need a 12 V DC adaptor. The adaptors are polralized, that is one output wire is + 12 V and the other is - 12V.. If you connect it backwards you can blow your hard drive.
If your not sure regarding correct polarity, consult a technician who knows how to use a voltmeter.
Also, the current rating of the replacement adaptor must be equal to or greater than the currenr rating of the original. Example: Old adaptor = 375 Ma. , New adaptor = 750 Ma. This would be OK.

hello..if you need to run @ safe the unit only up to 16v 2amp DC u need to try input..do not try higher from 16v DC or Lower 15v DC..or you need buy a new..Thanks And Good Luck...^_^
