Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
Hello im trying to get my ps3 online through my laptop using o2 broadband. when i do an internet connection test on the ps3 it just keeps saying dns error.. ive set my laptop up for network sharing, ive even searched ipconfig/all and got the dns no.s and when i do a manual test its still not picking it up can anyone help....
Are you connecting wirelessly or with a cord? if wireless, you need to make sure that you are selecting the same security setting as the connection that you pick in 'network settings'. If the option is 'none', then you need not worry about a password. however if it has a password, then you need to make sure that you type that password in (case sensitive). I had the same problem and this worked for me. hope this helps...please rate if it does....thanks. also, you shouldn't have to do anything with your laptop at all. try to use a direct line from your modem if you are using an ethernet cord.
