Yes they should have techinal support it should be on the back of your amp. If you open up amp soder a 12 guage wire where the terminal used to be. Thats what i did and never had a problem. hope this helps

Dhd amp has power but blue leds flash once and turn off. the led in the back lights up green but the blue leds that light up in the front flashon once, and then turn off. it won't let me sub hit.

Dhd amplifierDisconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty. Double check all connections .A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you. Worth fixing.

Yaris radio - sound stopped coming from speakers

I had the exact same issue with my 2007 Yaris. I took the radio out and checked all the connections- (all Good) then traced the wires through out untill I reached the trunk. I had a bunch of stuff in the trunk that had some how hit the speaker connections and bent the connections on one of the speakers. I removed all the stuff from the trunk and re-solder the connections. After that the speakers kicked back on for the entire car.
Check the trunk - if you have it loaded with junk like I did, this may be the cause of your speaker failure.
Good Luck!

100 watt dhd amp wont turn on

If it's an aftermarket stereo, there's a small blue wire (accessory/antenna) that goes to the amp. So in essence, you have the large cable going to the battery that powers the amp. However, the small power wire going into the amp tells it when to turn on, by the stereo.

Sound goes out and comes back on

If this is a pair of wireless speakers hit the button in the back of the speakers to change the channel. if it is the speakers inside the set, it could be a loose solder connection that heats up after a while and then the solder seperates preventing sound. this same issue could happen to the final amp in the tv, when they get bad they will heat up and stop working. All requiring a tech to troubleshoot the problem.

The ZR series amps had several problems that could be an issue for your amp. The modules failed and caused intermittent problems. If you know someone with a similar amp, try to borrow their module. The solder connections on the vertical board (the one the module pluges into) develops cracks in the solder connection where the vertical board connects to the main board. The amps have a fuse that is connected in series between the input RCA shield and the secondary ground. This fuse can be blown by shorted speaker wires (shorting to chassis ground). It's a surface mount fuse that's under the main board. Virtually all of these should be checked and/or repaired by a qualified technician. There is also the possibility that the head unit is damaged (assuming the head unit is connected directly to the amp). If the shields for the RCA jacks are open, it can cause the same problems as when the shield fuse opens in the amplifier. To check the shields of the head unit, you unplug all of the RCA cables from the head unit and measure the resistance between the shield of the RCA output jack and the case of the head unit. There should be no more than ~1-2 ohms resistance between any of the RCA output jack shields and the case. If there is significant resistance or it's open, the head unit needs to be repaired.

With two 4 ohm svc subs and a 4ch amp the best way to hook it up is as you have described. There is no way of wiring it to get a lower ohm with your set up.

Sub does not fully work

My guess is that one of your subs has a damaged voice coil, which acts like a short circuit to the speaker outputs. If you put an ohmmeter on the speaker terminals you should measure a resistance of not much less than 2 ohms (assuming you've wired the VC's in parallel). If you measure a significantly lower resistance then you have a damaged subwoofer.

Voice coil has been blown open. Most likely alot of times what I do to test a speaker is connect it to a 9 volt battery. on and off and the speaker should bounce. If not speaker is blown. Plus this way you could save yourself lots of problems. If the speaker was shorted and not blown open. You would now possible have a blown amp and home stereo.
