Question about Kenmore 659 Electric Dryer
Following the removal of sock stuck between door and drum edge indesit is60v appears to have lost its ability to turn drum when more than a kilo of clothes inside. PS. I did smell burning before removal of sock - believe wedged sock stopped drum from turning properly. will attempt to repair machine myself but would appreciate some guidance as to best staring point. Thanks. Dave
Check the belt and see that it is not worn down, kind of like a fan belt on a car. You may want to replace it anyway. next, the motor be be loose from the frame it is fastened to. Feel the surface of the drum for any grooves or worn places. There may be build up of debris. You can take off top of dryer to gain easier access to the drum.
